So Far!

I haven’t been posting on my tumblr (just to be clear since this might as well show up on my tweeter feed) page lately. Been busy for a while. Attending classes and getting ready for university finals and whatnot. This year (2019) will be my last year of studies. Next year, I will begin my intern (God willingly). I am so excited at the sametime, exhausted to my very own bones. But the good news is that it is yet to come to an end. 

I am not complaining. It’s been a fun ride since I started University. Meeting new people (aah, not my best part, not very good with interacting with new peope, but i got the hang of it). I love the experiences I’ve had so far and the things I went through thus far. 

Semester 6 begins soon. I am not quite ready, not fully ready. I know what’s coming and thats half the battle. Things ae different than when they first started. In the beggining, I was the kid in class, sitting at the far end, trying to solve some differetial equotion problems, now I am here getting ready for his FYP -Final Year Project. Yeah, feels weird. 

Moving on, this semester break, I had quite the luxury to relax and rest. Been watching movies, reading books (anything I get my hands own), eating, exercising (mostly) and my favorite, sleeping. This is the fun bit, I’ve been sleeping during the day and been awake during the night. (An owl, huh?). Yeah, well the fun is about to end. 

In about a week, the semesters begin. The closer we get to the date, the terrified I become.

Guys, it’s been a whirlwind of a week. If this keeps up for much longer, I’ll be known as Cisco the Grey around Central City. To catch up anyone who may have missed it, there was a little episode amongst our team where Barry suddenly lost his powers and Iris got them. It sounds just as weird when I type that out after the fact but when it happened, I was really bugging out. I mean, you can’t just expect someone to be able to harness the immense power of the speed force at the drop of a hat. It was a pretty scary situation…UNTIL COACH CISCO SAVED THE DAY.

When life gives you super speed you make a…well, I don’t really know where I was going with that one. All I know is that crime wasn’t going to stop just because Barry was powerless, so we had to make do with the hand we were dealt – Iris needed a crash course (probably not the best phrase to use) in her newly acquired powers. I’ve picked up a few tricks over the years and felt confident in creating the ultimate training ground for Iris to use on her journey of becoming Central City’s newest speedster.

I meticulously mapped out a course all over the city designed to test all of Iris’s abilities and prepare her for anything that could possibly be thrown her way. We headed over to 5th street, which has been under construction since before I was born. There she could learn to dip, dodge and zip past potholes, obstacles, bystanders and more – this was coming together perfectly. The best part of this course, in my opinion, is the fact that it went right past the newly opened Central City Chili Corner. It’s situated right between the stadium and S.T.A.R. Labs so naturally when I had Iris run into the stadium for a couple laps around the field, I placed an order of chili dogs for her to pick up on her way back to the lab.

“Cisco, what’s the deal with you and junk food?” you may ask. Well first off, let’s just take that j-word and throw it out the window. This food doesn’t deserve to be talked about like that. Second, when you’re carrying the weight of training a new speedster you need some brain fuel so excuse me for trying to support a local business and get some chili up in me. THIRD – and most importantly – I still haven’t gotten my chili dogs. See, Iris aced the course in no time. She’s a natural! I was beyond excited to see her arrive back at the lab so quickly and she didn’t even radio in for advice. But there was one thing missing – my food. She said she left four chili dogs on my desk but there were no dogs…only Harry.  One day I’ll get the respect I deserve around here.

The Flash #001

The Flash’s episode last night was amazing. With Harry figuring out the rest of the bus metas and Iris being a speedster (even though just for a day - that’s gotta count for something). For the first time in a long time, Iris still has the fierceness  she had when the show started back in 2014. I know there are people out there who won’t give Iris the time of the day but still your lose. Who cares? - not me. Without Iris, the show wouldn’t have been as exciting as it is today 4 years later. Enough about Iris. I heard Cisco say something about a time pocket dimension thing DeVoe is hiding in and  Harry figured out how DeVoe uses that metal thingy he wears on his head to predict what’s going to happen in the future. With 2 more bus-meta-humans (that sounds lame doesn’t it?, don’t answer) - out there, now Team Flash knows where they are so does Devoe, the $64,000 question is ... 

okay fine, I took that form Cisco’s page. What are you gonna do about it huh? 

... sorry about that I don’t usually get angry. 

now, where was I? .. Ooh, yeah. the metas. who’s gonna get them next. With Ralph’s life on the line, and Devoe’s body deteriorating - I had to google how to spell that - overtime,we have no idea. let’s wait and see.

The Day is Here!

Today things went well a bit. I didn’t accomplish a lot. but i did most of what i had to. so far, I feel good about myself. The thing is, whenever I do something I feel a sense of accomplishment which most of the times accompanied by doubt and regret.  But on the hand, whenever I do short of what i was suppose to do my body feels like it’s collapsing on each other. I feel broken deep. All I wanna so is go to sleep for days and never do anything ever again. I made friends at my university. Most of the times they bring joy and fun and laughter, I just enjoy being around them.

THE HEARING.

I lost it. Again. It took me roughly 40 minutes to find it. I closed my eyes and took a deep breathe. I recited the words out loud. Kind enough it conceals the anger within. I drop the pen open my eyes and leave the room. I hay of dust brushes my face off as I face towards the origin of the voice. This time. I'll be ready. This time I won't miss. I was pissed I couldn't find my gun. Pissed enough to know I searched everywhere with no luck. The voice was close enough I could follow to its origin. I had no clue what it was. I just had one thought: eliminate it. By all means.
