"He don't smell tasty," Yancy says, hands on his hips and tapping his foot in thought, "But he don't smells so bad we's gonna gag about it."

"Some we've... encountered, have said he reeks," Dark says, "But none of us have any particular problems with him. ... Though it could be a got-used-to-it thing, I guess."

"Uhg, like the smell of the rescue in the basement," Bim says with a shutter. "I'll take rotting flesh over litterbox stench any day."

"... The Host thinks this family does not have a good gauge for what stinks."

Host gets closer, looming over you, rotten sludgy blood dripping down his face, pooling between his firmly pressed together lips. When he opens his mouth again it stains his teeth, washes his fangs in a dark red-brown.

"The Host hates The Writer. The Storyteller is not as abhorrent- The Writer created our situation and perpetuates it, and The Storyteller has been trying to ease it since bringing us Sia."

"But The Writer is vengeful. Xey find joy in the family's pain. Xey created the family to suffer, to wallow under the rule of a demon in Dark's soul, with no intention of granting freedom, still with no intention of granting freedom!"

"The Host will extend no kindness or nicety to The Writer because it does not extend such to those The Host knows deserve it."

"I've got a few things I want to do and the planetarium is one of them, yeah." Doc smiles thinking about it. "And the aquarium. Make it a Visiting The 'Ums day, maybe."

Doc blinks a little in surprise at your second comment. "Miss me? ... How long has it been for you since something ha-"

The Host leans in and whispers something in Doc's ear.

"What the fuck?!"

Listen, I completely understand why it was an issue for some people, but I still think that naming the original release of Deltarune “SURVEY_PROGRAM.exe” was really really funny

Doc, do you miss Sia?

Doc gives you a funny look. "In what context? Like, with Odie? Yeah, of course. I know they're all the same, but... it's also not the same."

Doc rubs his chest. "She's my best friend. I prefer having her around to not having her around, easy as that."

"Maybe Ash? This is a nice name"

The blob considers this, and then nods.

"Ash it is. Well Ash, go gather up whoever wants to live with me, I guess." Ash nods and slinks away, soon returning with a gaggle of blobs behind them. Doc looks at You. "I don't think this'll transfer over to our main reality, though. They'll live with me in this... liminal one."

"Oh hello little one"

*looking at them curious*

"Who are you? Do you have a name?" :3

It shakes it's eyes No.

"How about..." Doc squints at the blob. "... Something like Smokey, maybe?"

It shakes it's eyes again.

"Doc? Can you grab one blob like a kitten?"

"Uh... sure. Like by the scruff? Or... approximation of one?"

He reaches for Bags, but Bags sinks away. He reaches for one with soft dove-gray eyes, who just goes along with this turn of events.

"Oh, come on guys!"

"Do you wanna live with Doc, or not?"

"How about they live in the general property, including the mansion? Just so my cottage has some room." This seems amenable to the Blobs. They all nod this time.

"I'm sure they'll be helping you if there's a problem"

"Right guys?" :D

*looks around encouraging

Most of then nod. A few shake like they're giggling mischievously.

"They are socute, right?"

"Would it be a problem if they live with you?"

"With me? ... And all my mice, and Raspberry, and Raccoony, and the fish? ... It's a lot of creatures."

They all look at him with wide, shining eyes. "... That's just not fair."

"Come, come!"

"Are others here too?"

Bags rolls their eyes, and disappears for a moment before returning with a gaggle of blobs!

"WHOA!" Doc backs up a little. "Holy shit, that's a lot of shadow beans."

"I told you! Bobby is a treasure!" :D

*looks around*

"Bags? Are you here too?"

Two dark pink eyes glare from a shadowed corner. Doc laughs.

"Oh, a grumpy one."

[my-ass-is-where]

"So why we wait? Bobby is a lovely blob! We should meet'em!"

"Alright." Doc looks up. "Whoever has us here doing this... please oblige?"

And then they're standing in Lucas and Bruno's house, and Bobby zooms right in, green eyes shining as it circles Doc's feet!

"Whoa! Hey there, little blobby Bobby! Ha."

"Oh! I wish you could also see Bobby! He's a very good lil man!"

Blob Doc nods, which basically looks like his eyes shifting up and down on his little blob body.

"I might be able to... this is a sort of Liminal Space I think, existing outside of time and space as we usually know them. Maybe little Blob Doc here and I can figure out how to visit his world. Unless it's terrible and I'd die there. Is it dangerous?"

Blob Doc shifts in a way that's probably a shrug.

I grab the blob and gently hold to show him

"Have you met that handsome gentleman before?"

"Oh! Uh, no. Hello, little guy."

Blob Doc sticks out a tiny hand-nub, and Doc tentatively shakes it. When he does, his hand seems to interact with the shadows more... Solidly, than is usual for touching one of these blobs. More compatibly.
