He was used as a WAR-BRED military asset to be aimed at Olympus’ enemies until taken in by the Hephaestus think-tank group for experimental digitization into war-viruses. (at the time Xibalban biomechanics were extremely hard to reverse engineer by the Godheads)Technological espionage with digitized monstrosities was given the go-ahead.

This interest in post-flesh god tech was spurred by Olympus’ close ally the Aesir and unbeknownst to them; the Hephaestus group had gotten access to the GARM experiments (such spying would have greatly weakened the ancient Dodekatheon/Aesir alliances)

Lycan-strain CANIS material was not originally present in the GARM programming and with The rogue King manifesting on Hessian battlefields-this scandal is out in the open now. The GARM product had been tampered with. Foreign elements went undetected.

Who knows how many more mutt breeds will spawn from this.

I love the connotation of just how close Jaune was to potentially being swallowed unintentionally by Chaos in his rage, fury, and passion. That it took all those close to him to reveal just how close he was to accidentally becoming another Horus.

I can't imagine the horror and terror that filled/fills Ruby every day as she remembered and saw the storm of violence and death her inventive and innovative mind fashioned. A potentially nightmarish reminder to all the Imperium as to why they should never inventive new things. For their existence is cursed to be soulless and loathed by the Omnissiah and all other Machine Spirits

Jaune is actually the reason why Ruby locked away her vaults, destroying their location coordinates and having Cyrus being the only one to know their locations and the keys to unlock them.

Blinded by pure rage and betrayal towards his Traitorous brothers and their allies that he unleashed the devastating weapons in his arsenal, many which Ruby developed. She only made these weapons to defend Remnant and even then only as a deterrent, she never wanted them to be used so horrifically on people. More to Ruby's horror was how compliant the legion was.

Not only were her weapons being unleashed but also the tools she created that were meant to help others. She had found a way to actually transport pools of grimm into containers, so they could be drained away from towns and villages, to thin Grimm numbers. But the legion repurposed them into weapons of war, unleashing the grimm onto the galaxy as they flooded worlds with uncontrollable Grimm. Putting the containers into missles to launch, titans were strapped with these Grimm bombs as a means to drop them as they walked over Traitors and cities, rivers of grimm being created by astartes and Remnant guard. Everything came to a tipping point when an STC of a weapon of apocalyptic proportions from the dark age of technology was discovered and Jaune had the techpriests and techmarines preparing to replicate it.

A techmarine, worried for his Primarch and brothers, informed Ruby of the discovery whom promptly gathered all of RWBY along with Nora and Ren to confront Jaune. It was a long battle that no Astartes dare to intervene until Pyrrha eventual heard of what happened and intervened despite her pregnancy. Jaune eventually realized the path he was leading his sons down, the untold horror he inflicted and the lives he's taken. Ruby took the STC away, locking it away in her vaults, destroying all records their locations save ones for that Cyrus knows. She also destroyed all her plans and her blueprints for the devastating weapons she herself created, so that no one but Cyrus.
