Hi Friends.  Long time no post.  I deleted Tumblr off my phone last spring in an effort to spend less time with my head down.  Life has been great though.  We got married in June, Went to Alaska in July, and got a foster pup in August.  She was adopted yesterday and we are so happy and so sad at the same time.  She was the skinniest, shyest, skittish little thing when we got her.  After a month at our house, her ribs showed less and her bravery showed more.  What a privilege it was to get to see her flourish.  She has been adopted by one of my coworkers and her husband and even though our life is easier, calmer, quieter this morning and we’ve been catching up on the cleaning and house stuff we neglected for the past month, we miss her terribly.  She lives nearby and we will get to see her, but she was our first foster and I wonder if we should have kept her. 

In other news, my Garmin 735xt is dying.  It only holds a charge for a day, even if I don’t do any activity.  I need to get a new watch.  I’m wondering if I should get another Garmin or if I should consider an Apple Watch.  I do not care about the smart features.  I do not want to be able to answer or make calls from my watch.  I do not want my texts coming to my watch.  That shit is far too distracting for me.  Help me trusty Tumblr community.

Fall game still strong. It’s Friday. O got home and wanted to sit down on the couch and not get up for awhile. However this guy had other plans. He refused to go out in the backyard and made it clearly known his wish was for me to take him for a walk. I obliged and found myself thanking him out loud on our way home. Annual HAMPTON Beach trip with a bunch of girlfriends. I’ve done the half 3 times before here and the 5k once. I added another 5K here today. While I’m no where near PRing and still running close to my slowest pace, I did take 2:55 off my 5k time from May. Both courses are pretty flat and I feel comparable.

Getting ready to do some landscaping. Turning grass into gardens. Since when did I care about spending money on plants.?!?! Adulting for the win. I think it’ll look more warm and inviting after.

I ended up bandaging the knees and taking this guy to a little trail near our house to get some of the missed mileage from this morning. Didn’t get it all, but some is better than none.

Yesterday I found this pair of glasses that have been missing since the move back in October. They were shoved in a side pocket of a bag. The place I put them so I wouldn’t misplace them in the move. Ha. I’ve used that bag a couple times over the past many months and had checked the pockets with no luck. Apparently not close enough. Finding these was like getting an unexpected birthday present. love them.
