3. what is your muse’s favorite hobby?

Out of all the many, excessive hobbies Duki Nuki has accumulated... his favourite has gotta be goldsmithing. Making jewelery is his favourite comfort activity after a long day of gathering, adventuring, or hugely traumatic encounters!

5. what does self-care look like to your muse?

Self care, to Duki Nuki, is intentionally hanging out in lower-danger areas and helping out the occasional passer by, reminding himself of what it was like to be in their position.

7. what would your muse consider a perfect day?

That's a tough one... being with Furbi or Wulfric already makes his day pretty darn good! He probably recently experienced what he'd call a perfect day in taking a break from heroics and simply gathering and showing off to Furbi, and then having the chance to chat to him...

8. what does your muse love doing with other people?

Any time spent with another is time well spent for Duki! Even if they're doing completely different things or they're in their own zones, just having someone around to share the sights and sounds of the environment they're in makes Duki feel at peace.

His sunglasses. Also his hair.

15. what is something that’s made your muse so happy they’ve cried?

One of Duki's most distinct memories is at the climax of the Dragonsong War, in the final showdown against Nidhogg. When he saw that he was being aided in his most crucial moment by Haurchefant and Ysayle... Duki was, at the time, too overcome by a need to do his duty to Ishgard to really feel it out, but when he got to his bed that night... the floodgates were thrown wide, knowing that the two of them, who he so looked up to, were still with them in some form.

22. what does your muse consider the most beautiful place they’ve ever been?

Duki's been all around, and so far, he'd probably have to say Hingashi is the most beautiful place he's been to. There was just something about the colourful and lively architecture, and the way the sun dances on the water, that just struck him. That's why he was so motivated, immediately, to climb Hingashi tower - just to get a better view of the sea!

25. during difficult times, what is something your muse holds onto to get them through?

His House Fortemps shield, which he still uses in his Paladin kit, is definitely a go-to for him. Else than that... he'd probably have to say his old Anima weapon. It's a sign of achievement for him, of progress he never could have once imagined making, but the glow of the weapon reminds him that, despite everything, he did - and he had something amazing and beautiful to call his own for it!

Rests his head on Duki's shoulder from behind. Ears smacking the side of his head as they wiggle.

" Whath'ya doin? "

Doubtless, Furbi will have been alerted to Duki's location by the gentle 'ting, ting, ting' of a goldsmithing hammer. From that alone, Duki thought, perhaps his ways of passing the time that didn't involve shooting things would be obvious.

His focus is intense - his tongue sticking out of one side of his mouth as a single eye shuts to focus on a magnifying monocle. Every detail in the craftsmanship is as perfect as he can possibly make it so, every golden link in his latest project perfectly formed and sealed.

His focus is only broken when he feels an ever-so-familiar weight on his shoulder - but by that point, the gilded chains glimmer in completion, allowing him room for a breathy laugh as Furbi's ears tickle his cheeks. He turns, gently placing a hand on his cheek as he slips away from him - holding up his newest creation, his newest distraction, and looping it over Furbi's neck. \

With the new weight upon him - a medfallion of a strange, ball-like creature with a face stranger yet, he speaks.

Oh, those ears of his... why did Duki have to draw, quite literally, the short end of the stick? Born with mostly-human ears, he couldn't ever have hoped to achieve the same manner of expression... which made it all the more adorable every time he watched Furbi do it. Behind his shades, his eyes follow the ears with such fascination that he almost forgets to respond to him.

" ... ough! beig careful of bigbeasts, furbi... you am of already of be havig bad scars! be specially of careful around tempered... this nuki am almost feelig sorry for thems. this nuki is... HATIG, idea of havig thoughst and freewills takig away by big gods... and even when those big gods am gone, they am do be stayig like this, and... not is good at all. but is okay, this nuki am never gettig temper. "

Chin on knees, perked ears, wide and curious eyes. Oh did furbi love to hear of his excursions in return. Every little word said would he met by a swivel of his ears. An indication of emotions and his expressions of interest. He could listen to him talk for hours!

There he goes indeed, waffling on about his adventures. It filled Duki with such nostalgia, hearing someone discover the mischief of the native sylphs for the very first time. Sitting himself onto the grass, the only tragedy present would be that Furbi couldn't see in his eyes how absolutely smitten he was with the way he talked. And then, he decides to open his mouth again.

" hhey this nuki is rembering when am first findig thos sylphs! this nuki was try and get ten and five of thos sylph of pick nuki up and carryig him over thems forests! but! one of thos BADSYLPHS, NOTGOODS, try and bring this nuki back down onto thos grounds, and, ohhhh, this nuki was of startig to learn how of do FUNSHOTS with hims bow, and- "
