The Second Week Of My Prague Adventure
The second week of our internship in Prague is trough and I can say that I'm very happy with how things are ending up. My work is going amazing, the outside activities have been great and I've been really enjoying exploring more of Prague and it's many historical and significant monuments.
Saturday Saturday was a day of history! Wannes, Anouchka and me went to the National Museum Of Prague, to learn all about the amazing history and nature of the world and more specifically Prague itself! We saw many historical creatures and significant things in the history of Czech Republic and the Soviet Union. This was incredibly interesting! We saw (statues of) animals like red panda's, puma's, limur's, lion's, crab's and even a GIANT inkfish (which is one of my favorite animals ever). It really was an amazing trip to the museum!
Sunday Sunday we went to ride pedal boats on the Moldau! We did this for an hour and it was pretty chill! It was pretty good weather so it was perfect for relaxing on the water.
After the pedal boats we went to the Cat-Café! This is an area where you can hang around and drink some coffees with adopted cats walking around freely. I love cats so I absolutely had a blast!
After the Cat-Café, Wout and I went to go see the Lennon Wall and Wout went to buy some souvenirs.
That concludes our 2nd weekend in Prague! 1 more week and we'll be home again, I already miss this place.

The First Week Of Prague
We're having a pretty great time here in Prague. We've been exploring the city and been working a lot, which I've really enjoyed until now. Here at Manifesto everything is going swiftly, I'm enjoying the tasks I've been getting and my colleagues are also amazing. I've really been able to learn a lot about the foodmarket business both behind the scenes as on the floor. I've had to clear tables and talk to people, having to prepare for reservations and make sure everything is in place. Manifesto is a really vibrant and cozy company and it's genuinely a great place to work at. I feel glad to spend my three weeks exploring everything Manifesto has to offer.
When it comes to activities I wouldn't say that we've done all that much. We went out to go drink some times of the week or just to grab some coffee in a nearby coffee shop. Since I had to work on Saturday I was way too tired to do any activities so I just hang around in the apartment and talked with the group, go on a walk or watched What We Do In The Shadows. Whenever I go out to take a walk I notice how incredibly beautiful the city of Prague is. On a good day it can be really breathtaking, which is such a gift.
I try to take pictures whenever I go out for a walk, but sometimes I forget and don't take any. Walking here is very nice and I enjoy it quite a lot, to the point where I almost walk every day. I'm curious how this next week is gonna play out. I'm sure everything will be just as amazing as the week that just went by. I can't wait to update you on all the other things we plan on doing.

The First 2 Days Of Work
We're now fully in the business world. We've all started working and it's all been a success until now! The company I have my internship at is Manifesto Foodmarket. It's a place where there multiple small restaurants inside of one place. The restaurants are all owned by independent people and the drinks are managed by Manifesto themselves.
It's very pretty and it's a really nice place to work at! The colleges are incredibly nice people and I'm learning a lot of things here. They quickly involved me in all sorts of things and I get to do many (exhausting) tasks.😅
As for activities, not much has changed. It's weekdays so everyone is pretty tired after work so we don't plan a lot of exhausting stuff so we can just rest at home or go to drink something in a bar. I personally try to walk everyday, there's this really pretty park fairly close to the apartment.
We also went to Manifesto yesterday to grab some drinks! It was really nice, it's a really cozy and warm foodmarket and it makes me even more glad that I work there.

I'm excited to see how the next 2 and a half weeks will play out! I can't wait to show you more of the amazing adventures we will go on! I'll see you next time I make a blog, I hope you have an amazing day!! :D

Arrival and first days!
We arrived in Prague yesterday to amazing weather. First thing we did when we arrived here was go to the appartements for everyone!

This is the group we've arrived with in Prague! We sleep in three seperate appartments but all eat and do activities together. Yesterday we walked around the city, shopped for groceries and explored a bit off Prague!
We saw the head of Franz Kafka, which is a statue with rotating layers! We were fortunate enough to see the rotation at 4 P.M. yesterday! After that we went out eating with the teachers and I had a slow cooked beef burrito, which was delicious!
Today we all went to the Prague Castle on top of the mountain. This is where the origins of Prague started. It was very impressive and we had an amazing time.
So far it's been amazing in Prague and it's a really beautiful city! I can't wait to explore more and share my amazing experiences here. Tomorrow I have my first day of work over at Manifesto, I'm incredibly nervous but also incredibly exciting so we'll see how it ends up!

The start of my Prague adventure
Hello everyone and welcome to my blog that I will be making about my internship in Prague. First of all I want to say thank you to all the people involved to make this international internship possible. From my teachers to the people from the Erasmus+ programme and the open-minded and helpful people over at Manifesto who allow us to come to their company. I have great appreciation for all of you! If you don't know me: Hello, I'm Lander. I'm a student who studies accountancy and IT at Sint Maria Geel in Belgium. A little bit about myself: I'm a musical actor, singer and technically also dancer. It's been my hobby for 9 years and I hope to some day be on the West End as a professional actor! I also like programming, making website, just in general computer related stuff! I hope you enjoy following my journey in Prague!
Much love Lander <3
