We are celebrating #VictoryDay in Russia today🎈🎆👏. In the picture, my maternal grandparents 👴👵. My grandpa Alekseenko Ivan is a sergeant, Red Army’ soldier, a commander of the gun 152 mm howitzer. Member of #WorldWarII from 1941 to 1945. Severely wounded in the left side on August 12, 1944. Demobilized in the reserve on February 17, 1945 on wound. My grandparents got married on May 8, 1945, have 5 children and 11 grandchildren. My grandma Alekseenko Anastasia is a worker on the home front. The grandpa had died on August 7, 2002 in Kalinin’ settlement, Klintsy district, Bryansk region at the age of 79. Kulich is a kind of #Easterbread that is traditional in the Orthodox Christian faith and is eaten in countries like Russia,  Belarus, Ukraine, Romania, Georgia, Macedonia, Moldova and Serbia. Kulich symbolizes the bread that Jesus ate with the Disciples after His resurrection. Kulichs is baked on Good Friday, and then on Saturday, it gets blessed together with eggs in churches. Kulich is baked in tall, cylindrical tins (like coffee or fruit juice tins). When cooled, kulich is decorated with white icing (which slightly drizzles down the sides) and colorful flowers. The recipe for kulich is similar to that of Italian #panettone. Kakhet is an indigenous Armenian  grape which grows around the ruins of the ancient Armenian Capital Dvin (5th century, B.C). It is an exquisite, unique variety which is well adapted to manifestly arid and continental climate of Armenia (hot summers and cold winters). Areni is dark skinned grape is known for its ability to make a full bodied red wine in the Transcaucasus region, particularly in Armenia and Turkey, which are considered to be the birthplace of viticulture. Areni grapes have been made into wine since historical time.
