Wanderlust Bench Art Park is celebrating its eighth anniversary. It's an opportunity for group members to share their creativity in a sustainable way. All visitors are welcome to the park.

There's an area with posters containing landmarks to events, galleries and installations. Two moon gate portals lead to art collections, once the experiences are accepted - one in Masan and one in Ensleigh.

The art at Wanderlust refreshes approximately every two months.

There's a new painting [middle one] for the chicken art collection at Shoshin Acres in Sedge, Heterocera.

The painting is by Luther Oh Griffis who has a workshop studio at Xaraz Gallery in Clementina, which is open or opening soon.

Sense of Place is the spring photography exhibit at Westerlay Third Space Gallery. The SL photos are groupings from several Destinations and are by Klaus Bereznyak and Pearl Grey.

I lightened the exposure on these blog pics so some of the art photos look washed out.

After looking around the gallery, you can teleport to the ground; there are things to explore there as well as in the neighborhood.

Located off Route 11 near the Farmers Market.

Photographs of Furillen in Real Life by Klaus Bereznyak. On exhibit now at Crag Monadh.

The photos show how remarkably true-to-life was the Second Life Furillen created by the memorable Serene Footman.

Haveit Neox has created some wonderful changes to his ACC Alpha, Port of Sparquerry, and Qeddoq regions. There are now riding trails throughout, with horse rezzers. [ We opted to ride our own AKK horses.]

The trains are enjoyable for touring the areas as well. The SLurl will take you to a boarding place for a small plane tour. Enjoy!

Wanderlust Bench Art Park has been in Quentin, Sansara for a little over 8 years. The art on display changes every two months, and the participants are refreshing the exhibit for September and October. With mostly 2D art, some low land impact 3D art is possible too. This round, we also have a link to a SL based graphic short story.

The ground level is a park setting, and a teleport button takes you to the upper level for more art, and a view of the road behind and the sea in front. And our neighbors have found oil!

The Xaraz Conservatory, located in Clementina, Sansara is located in a glass dome building created by Albane Clary. It is also a sometimes-art gallery curated by Veyot. 

With the beautiful music on the stream, it’s a serene place to hang out. From the land description: "Can you find the secret stairway to the sea?”

Wanderlust Art Truck 2023 has been set up on a small parcel in Ashenlave, just off Circuit La Corse in Second Life. Established in 2017 by myself and my colleague Klaus, we set up a series of about 15 pop-up art exhibits on several continents, many of which were hosted by friends.  The exhibits were open from about 2 - 3 weeks.  Sometimes there were opening parties, and I enjoyed the project for the most part.  

We set up once or twice in 2020, and once more in the last couple of years. I quit keeping track or documenting, and just enjoyed the moments.  We actually travelled with the truck to and from most destinations,  and I made a 2:33 Vimeo showing some of the travel by road, water, air and rail. It was hilarious and complicated.

Most of the art is by avatars we’ve interacted with in Second Life. The exhibit is up at least through June.

The second annual Asian Pacific Heritage Festival has been open in the month of May, and there are only a few days remaining to enjoy it. I am really impressed with the levels of care and detail that is apparent, and I’m looking forward to visiting again next year.

The shared environment is beautiful. “The Parade of Countries” is made up of 40 boats, decorated wonderfully, with clickable info about each country. 

The area for the Street Fair Food has displays of cuisine represented, and clicking on little info signs will take you to the actual recipes on the web. 

The music, party events, and discussion panels are over; online resources are still available. There is an area for art and photography, as well as a selection of SL Asian Pacific creator brands.

The bottom photo is of  Javanese Wayang Kulit, an entertainment viewed at night. It’s by Marcel Mosswood, and has animated textures.

The 18th Raglan Shire Art Walk is open through Sunday, June 18. There are around 150 2D and 3D artists from all over the grid. Avatars can explore on foot, ride the tours, or use the teleport boards to get around.

The seventh anniversary of Wanderlust Bench Art Park - April 17.  Thanks to all our visitors and supporters over the years, and to the artists and writers who share their work.
