A rendition of it just premiered a short while ago at the theatre I work at - Germany, so it's called "Zerbombt" - and it's PHENOMENAL. I might be a bit biased, but I'm so in love with this rendition and unbelievably saddened that only very few people will see it - the theatre is small and located in a very conservative area.

The director, Monique Hamelmann, is kind of a newcomer, but she specializes in making difficult material available and accessible to her audience, and she's just such an awesome person and EXCELLENT at what she’s doing.

And the three actors are such phenomenal folks as well. The Soldier, I personally think, is the most well-cast of the three. Like, look at him.

Doesn’t he just look AWESOME? And this man can Act, I tell you, with a capital A.

But the two other actors, my god. They knock it out of the fucking park no less.

I don’t know whether Sarah Kane would’ve approved of each alteration that was taken - within the confines of the fact that no dialogue may be added OR removed -, but I am under the impression that the rendition not only kept the spirit, but better portrayed the inherent hope that lies within Cate than I think even Kane herself could’ve dreamt up.
