In my experience they do move around a place, though they revisit the same locations as well.
So here’s the thing: I want to hear anything and everything you have to say about the following question, whether upg or theory or tradition. Here it is:
What do you think about land spirits detached from their…

This scar is on an important tree. The shape is familiar but I cannot place it. Does anyone recognize it?

In a recent traveling state I met an old woman and she said: “You have to write this down”. I woke up, got a drink of water, and went back to bed. I fell right back into the same “dream” and she again told me to write it down, so I got up again and wrote it down. The two words tied in with a piece of quartz I had found earlier in the day, and looking into those two words lead me to a connection between 2 very different groups of people who I’m researching.

have no training in Shamanism or any other practice. I can only say that since I was a child I would go into some kind of spontaneous type of Intense Awareness while in the waking world, and as I’ve grown older I‘ve learned how to bring on that awareness in a fairly reliable manner

Recently while ‘traveling’ I decided to try to contact someone. This person is a Sachem (chief) from a local tribe. I repeated their name, calling them, trying to connect with them, but nothing happened. I eventually gave up. But the next morning I woke up to an email from the Sachem asking: “What were you doing last night? Why were you calling me? ”

Connection to the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. A woman was convicted of witchcraft in the Salem witch trials. She was sentenced to be hanged but was not put to death because she was pregnant. By the time the baby was born 19 people had been convicted of being witches and were killed. After being jailed for 4 months she was released as the witch craze died down. When this baby (which arguably saved her life) was an adult he purchased and lived on the land I call My Woods. This is his tombstone.

At night I ‘travel’ these woods in a semi-dream state. Sometimes I will ‘see’ something while in this state, and then go out into the woods in the morning and find the item at the location. This stone is one example.

For years I got a strange feeling along one small section of a spur trail in these woods. It bothered me enough to go off the trail and inspect a particular tree which seemed to be the focus of the feelings. On the back of this tree someone had placed a clay Buddha head. This told me there was some power here.

The 3-pronged mark shows up on a deed selling Salem, Ma to the English. The woman who made this mark lived in this area.

A few months before the quartz stone was stolen, a small piece of quartz ‘magically’ appeared on my kitchen floor and it had the same mark.

The following winter a deer pawed out a 3-pronged mark directly over the spot where the stolen quartz had been.

Off to the side of a trail there was piece of quartz with a 3-pronged mark on it. It had been there for the 20 years I’ve hiked these woods, but in the Fall of 2010 someone dug it up and removed it. The stone was the size of a loaf of bread, and only a 4”x4” bit of it was visible. I found it by accident and have no idea how anyone else would have known about it. (I have no photo of it). Here's a Google Earth view of the woods.
