That feeling when you’re reading a book and maybe it’s a love scene, or maybe it’s a character learning something about him or herself, or maybe it’s something that you’ve always thought but never knew anyone else thought or felt that way too, and your whole body grows warm and tingly and there are tears in your eyes… that. That’s why I read. To feel. To connect. To understand. To have my whole body warmed while I forget to breathe.

so my 14y/o daughter got into an argument with her high school principle yesterday for fighting. an older boy had come up to her and asked her out, but when she said no and tried to walk away he grabbed her by her arm and pulled her back. so she punched him and broke his nose. her principle then told her she should have “heard him out” and “it’s not like the boy actually hurt her” so her response was “inappropriate”. so my daughter then chewed out her male principle in the middle of the school corridor about rape culture and that if that was his attitude then he should probably quit teaching forever because all he was doing was teaching girls to be quiet victims and teaching boys that it was okay to touch girls against their will and then she pointed right in his face and said “men like YOU are why my mum taught me how to punch people properly”. she got a round of applause from 2 female teachers listening in and i have never been such a proud mama

Aaaaand it’s done! I’m dead! My Wings & Ruin montage. I probably could have spent a couple more weeks / months tweaking it to within an inch of its life, but for the sake of my sanity I’m calling it done (it was hella fun, but I think I wracked up about a million hours.)
PRINTS! In the usual places, for everyone asking. Society 6 and Limited signed copies on Etsy.

I do not understand this “male privilege" bullshit.
What. Fucking. Privileges. Do. Men. Have.???????
Name them. I swear, I challenge you to name these “male privileges" and be able to prove them.
Come on, I fucking dare you.
Name them!

Unpopular ACOWAR Opinion
I don’t like Nesta.
She truly did develop beautifully throughout ACOWAR and I don’t hate her and Cassian (how could I Cassian is awesome) but I don’t like Nesta.
I can’t get over her negative actions and the things she says in ACOWAR. When Rhys said something about her to Feyre and Feyre freaked out I was absolutely thinking the same as Rhys.
Basically if she was a real life person and I met her I wouldn’t like her and reading about her and how she treated Feyre and the Inner circle made me mad.
Just a character I don’t relate to or click with.

Redesigned bookcovers » A Court of Thorns and Roses trilogy by Sarah J. Maas
“I wonder if some part of me knew what was waiting for me. That I would never be a gentle grower of things, or someone who burned like fire—but that I would be quiet and enduring and as faceted as the night. That I would have beauty, for those who knew where to look, and if people didn’t bother to look, but to only fear it … Then I didn’t particularly care for them, anyway. I wonder if, even in my despair and hopelessness, I was never truly alone. I wonder if I was looking for this place—looking for you all.”

They say you came back different. Came back wrong. (…) I never bother to tell them I think you came back right. Came back right at last

looking for more book tumblrs to follow
i unfollowed so many people because of messy content, so if you
are conscious of the lack of diversity in fiction and pick your reading accordingly
dont purposely promote and/or read problematic books (problematic as in containing racism, lgbtqia+-phobia, ableism)
listen to call outs and take books off your TBR and want to constantly better your intersectional feminism
optional: are an activist or ally for diversity in publishing and speak up (OMG PLEASE)
i wanna be your bff.
give me a shout, reblog this, whichever.
also feel free to recommend me people, pls dont leave me hanging i need more ppl on my dash its so dead

Fun fact: in Romanian, a bookworm is called “şoarece de bibliotecă” which translated to “library mouse” :)
