Step 9. Captions

Just to make somebody doesn't hear my lovely voice, I added captions to top the whole video off.

It such a nice thing that apps can automatically generate these by just listening to the video.

Step 8. MUSIC

This always add an extra level to the video. Music ahh... Good vibes, good vibes

Step 7. Ups, I almost forgot the captions

Remember to shout out to your lovely cast! Other than that making captions was a pain. They kept going in different directions :))))

Step 6. Add some audio

To give it a bit more depth and comic effect, I added some audio. Making my voice sound all wistful and fancy is always a lot of fun.

Step 5. Play around with the sound

Note yourself: make sure people are silent whilst filming.

This would have really sped up the process of editing. Not having to cut out all the talking in the background and working around the unsalvageable bits.

Step 4. Think of a title

Honesty, probably one of the worst titles I could have thought of, but it does the job and in one word describes the action happening in the short movie.

Step 3. Test out a few different configurations

It took a while before I got the effect I was aiming for. Trying out different configurations of scenes was a slightly longer process than I had hoped, but well worth it in the end.

Step 2. Film

Luckily one day of filming, a lot of energy and improving and all the footage I needed was recorded.

Now we can get to the interesting part - editing!

Step 1. Think of an idea

Well it was between a documentary about Madeira or a dramatic action packed short movie.

I opted for the latter, since the ideas just started flowing.

My latest project included video editing!

Yes, after a while spent with Krita it's time to venture out into the unknown and try something new. Okay, I lie. I have spent many hours editing reels and such. But I haven't done it in a while, so let's see how it goes.

Step 7. Try out different headphones and finish the whole thing in Photoshop

I gave up hahahha

Step 6. I'm still not satisfied...

Steve still doesn't want to look blurry or pixilated. Aaaaaaarg.

So, I decided on a different approach.

I found some pixels and went from there.

Step 5. Chop of Steve's ears

They were in my way and way too visible. So bye-bye ears. You will not be missed.

Step 4. Looooooose all colour

To make my kids, let's call him Steve, new attire look more... well, old I started off with desaturating, next adding some dodge and ending with a bit of colour adjustment.

Step 3. Cut, copy, and paste

I feel like I'm getting quite good at this part.

Step 2. Find degenerate items

The best part is that I didn't even know what earphones I chose :))
