It appears Chris returned to his position as SOA BSAA agent to be at Jill's side for her first mission after rehab during REDeathIsland on 2015 (that's not about current time shown in RE8).

Both of them were SOA agents in RErevelations & RE5 while Chris became a SOU one just after Jill got to rehab due Kijuju events.
