Marcus Aurelius on Weight Loss
The great man had a lot of timeless and wisdom, in fact one of his greatest sayings was:
“Very little is needed to make a happy life; it is all within yourself, in your way of thinking.”
  Marcus Aurelius
You can apply this same wisdom to weight loss that gets results if you happen to want to lose weight.
“Change your thoughts and you change your world.” ~ Norman Vincent Peale
The nature of our thoughts determines the quality of our life whether it is sad, happy and contented. Happy, optimistic, positive thoughts, emotions, and feelings generate a zing in our system which makes the blood flow freely and heart beat joyously. They create a spring in our feet and spur us to action. Let us remember the age-old saying that the mind- thoughts- can move the mountains. Pessimistic, sad and gloomy thoughts, on the other hand, create inertia and force us to stay bed-bound.

I was very interested when I can accross this article on type 2 diabetes and think it is WAY over complicated, here is my solution.
I have been type 2 for 15 years or so and probally still am, although by blood sugar is about as normal as it can be at all hours of the night and day.
My solution was simple, OMAD, I eat for an hour window every day and my weight plumeted and after two day I didn't need to inject insuline anymore. I monitor my blood levels 2 or 3 times a day and it rarly goes above 5 or 6.
Prescribing low-carb diets for type 2 diabetes: many approaches can work
3 days ago by Franziska Spritzler, RD, medical review by Dr. Bret Scher, MD in Diabetes, Low carb & high fat, New study
As the number of doctors, dietitians, and other diabetes specialists interested in carb restriction continues to grow, questions inevitably arise. How many carbs per day should people with diabetes eat? Are targets for protein and fat intake necessary, or can people be advised to eat as much as they need to feel full?
Recently, a group of Australian researchers explored these questions in a systematic review of studies on low-carb diets in people with type 2 diabetes:
Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism: An evidence‐based approach to developing low‐carbohydrate diets for type 2 diabetes management: a systematic review of interventions and methods
This was an extensive review of 41 intervention studies, including 18 randomized trials, totaling 2135 participants altogether. Results from one of the studies weren’t included in the analysis due to high risk of bias.
Although some studies didn’t provide detailed data beyond the carbohydrate prescription, the overall composition of the diets varied widely:
Carbohydrates: 13 studies restricted carbs to less than 50 grams per day. Another 14 restricted carbs somewhere between 50 to 130 grams per day — a fairly broad range across studies. The remaining 13 studies restricted carbs to less than 50 grams per day initially, and then individualized carb intake depending on progress.

We have all seen it happen!
Losing weight has so many benefits, one of which is that it can make you look so many years younger. 30 years ago, my aunty lost 4 stone over the year and when we next met, I SERIOUSLY didn’t recognise her. Not only was she slim but also with a makeover looked 20 years younger and those youthful looks have stayed with her to this day.
So, forget wasting money on expensive miracle rejuvenation creams and lotions, and lose a few lbs instead because it could make all the difference. If you need a little help check out the perfect weight loss solution.
Saif Ali Khan sheds kilos, looks at least 15 years younger!
Tumblr media
Saif Ali Khan is currently earning critical acclaim for his role in a currently popular web series. He also has big films lined up in the months ahead. What is also commendable is that despite keeping a busy schedule, Saif Ali Khan has lost oodles of weight and looks younger than ever! The actor was recently spotted outside the airport with his family and evidently, there is a remarkable difference in his appearance. Our guess? The strict diet Bollywood’s Nawab has been following in the recent months has worked well for him!
However, Saif’s weight lossjourney hasn’t been as easy as it sounds. Can you believe that the actor, who has never worked out under a gym trainer in 48 years of his life did all the self-coaching and transformed himself?
Following a no-carb, no-sugar diet Sugar and carb are the two things you need to moderate for healthy and effective weight loss. The actor followed just this and lost weight. Saif followed a no-sugar, no-carb diet which helped him lose the extra muscular weight easy. He also practiced portion control.
His breakfast included something like oatmeal made with skimmed milk and topped off with some fresh fruits.
He restricted himself to a bowl of seasonal salad during lunchtime and for dinner, he usually had light fillet steak. The actor also generally loves home-cooked food and avoids eating outside.

Making mistakes is okay, it’s part of being a less than perfect human, and more importantly it’s also the way that we learn!
Yes, every mistake is a learning opportunity from which we can grow and become more determined.
However, what happens for the majority of people when the make a dietary or weight loss mistake is that they FALL BACK, get depressed and feel ashamed of themselves and their high hopes are finished and they quickly go back to old poor-quality eating habits really quickly.
Not just for the rest of that day, but the next also, and the one after that as well.
Good intentions finished, and regrouping from such disappointments can take time to get over, they do me anyway.
Sad, but how most people look at weight loss!
So, what do I mean by falling forward?
Never let things get this bad! SERIOUSLY!
Let’s image that you have a moment of weakness and eat something which is not on your plan. It happens, in fact, it happened to me just today that I had a moment of weakness and overate at a time I would usually.
I could have gone into a downer, and in the past,  I wouldn’t have, but I realised I could use the mistake to get stronger and make sure that the same mistake didn’t happen again, I fell forward rather than letting a small weight loss mistake grow into something much larger.
You can do the same, so consider this simple wisdom carefully.

Gym Not Necessary!
Okay, it' time for a pleasant surprise.
You don't have to go to the gym to lose a consistent amount of body weight, seriously!
Let me give you two examples, the first being me.
Unfortunately, and due to many years of competitive judo my knees don't allow me to do more than mild walking, and that's exactly what I do.
However and even more impressive is 27-year-old Holly below who has lost no less than 10 stone or 140 lbs, WOW! …and she didn't go to the gym once.
A WOMAN has revealed her incredible 10st weight loss – and admits she did it whilst still getting to eat chocolate.
Holly Hague, 27, tipped the scales at 21st 5lb and was wearing a size 26 at her largest.

But the accounts worker, from Sheffield, realised things had to change after putting up Christmas decorations left her out of breath.
That January she made a New Year's resolution to herself to ditch the weight.
Within the first week she had lost 10lb and within 12 months she'd shed a whopping 10st 1lb.
Holly now weighs 11st 4lb and wears a svelte size 10 to 12 after dropping eight dress sizes.
Comfort eating
She told The Sun: “I spent my childhood being chunkier than others in my class and far too many years comfort eating to drown out the mean remarks.
“I know this is cliché but at the end of 2017 I was in the mindset of ‘new year new me’ and I knew I wanted fast weight loss that really would change my eating habits for good.
“Mum took a picture of me wrapping tinsel around the tree. When I saw it, I asked her to delete it. I was huge, flushed and panting. That was the kick up the backside I needed.
