Reasons why people get abortions: Just killing a kid for funsies ❌ not wanting a child yet or at all ✅ They were SA'd and unfortunately got pregnant✅ The parent/child most likely won't survive the pregnancy/birth or won't survive long afterwards✅ They don't have the ability to pay for and raise a child✅ And many other perfectly good reasons.

It is disgusting that these reasons are excused for the sake of bringing more kids in this world, even if they won't have a good life, especially when they're still just a bunch of cells that's not even considered a life yet. Taking away abortions is taking away the rights of those who can carry children. Also this fandom doesn't worship demons, don't go around spreading misinformation like that. The show isn't even accurate to the bible, it's literally a silly show with darker themes regarding sin, toxic christianity, etc. If you do not like it, okay, cool, but claiming the show is based on worshiping demons is disgusting, just like you believing people with uteruses don't deserve to have rights to abortions! But that's not the point of this, point is you're a disgusting, horrible person for trying to control someone's right to what's happening in their body. In ~these times~ it is important for queer people to be reminded of what "coming out" originally meant. "Coming out" did not mean telling all of your co-workers something super stigmatized and vulnerable about you, wearing your queer status on your sleeve in public, informing the police or government institutions about your sexuality, or even telling your parents. "Coming out" meant venturing out into the queer community; being among other queers as a queer yourself.

Coming out isn't about telling the entire world when doing so is not safe for you, it's not about arming your enemies with information they could use against you. No, coming out is about making a fulfilling queer life possible for yourself through participation in the queer community. It is about escaping the restrictions and dangers of the cisgender heterosexual world by rooting oneself more deeply into the queer one.

And you can always do that. No matter how oppressed we are. No matter how much the culture shifts and policies are enacted to terrorize us. We are always able to be ourselves when we are amongst each other. And living our queerness has always been a collective social project, not just a matter of personal exposure.

Hunter Schafer had her passport gender marker changed back to M after years of having at as F, and she said the only document not changed was her birth certificate. Implies the agency responsible for passports is cross referencing with other documents and is not just denying new gender marker changes but will start forcibly reverting them to their original marker. God knows what else they have access to but I'm sure it's not pretty.

I need people to understand how serious it can get. And if you only start noticing now and ringing alarm bells, better late than never; but it's also a shame if it takes a white celebrity to sound off in order for people to take institutional transphobia and transmisogyny seriously. Even if this is a notable escalation, it displays a serious devaluing of the violence faced by any invisible transfem, seeing as we are typically the canary in the coal mine. Marginalized transfems of all stripes, nonwhite, disabled, poor, have been begging for people to pay attention and take stuff seriously and it's a disgrace that it's just been met with, at best, performative gestures. We need to keep us safe, and we need to do better to do that.

Watching white tumblr users interact with black things is funny because they will always misapprehend things and just generally be reductivist.

So I’m seeing a lot of people going “haha Kendrick got awards for being a hater,” “Drake lost so bad lol.”

And I’m just massaging my temples at the irony of nonblack people en masse misunderstanding a song called “They not like us.”

Kendrick has a whole verse in the song breaking down the commodification of blackness and the history of colonization apropos to Black Americans. That’s what the whole Drake beef was about btw. It was about Drake’s pattern of ripping off black culture just to peddle it to the uncaring masses and make millions off of it, while the smaller artists he steals from get no recognition (money). Drake was getting called the rap goat by nonblack people, he was getting looked at as the greatest in a tradition he has no roots in. Kendrick’s distaste for Drake was years in the making. FdSignifier has some great vids from like 2020 about Drake’s rise in the rap world. There’s also Pusha T’s diss from 2018 called “The story of Adidon.” My point is, Drake is a culture vulture and the Drake v. Kdot beef was about reclaiming what Drake (and other culture vultures) stole.

Drake is also problematic for other reasons, e.g. sexually exploiting women, allegedly participating in sex trafficking, and so on.

It does a disservice to Kdot’s message to reduce this beef to an apolitical 1v1. It was never a 1v1, it was always political, it was always about the broader culture, it was always a culture war, etc.
