The Beginning
Well the time has come for me and Jack to start planning for baby #2. It takes a little longer for some extra steps we have to take to prepare.us to plan for a baby as there are some extra steps we have to take to prepare. You see, I am what they consider High Risk. I am an Epileptic. I have Grand Mal Seizures, well I actually have 3 different types of seizures if you want to get technical. My seizures cannot be cured only controlled through medication (thank God I never got that brain surgery lol) Right now my Seizures are being controlled by different seizure medications, yes 4. I take 2,000 mg keppra, 600mg carbamazapine, 150mg lamotrigine in the morning and 2,000 mg keppra,600mg carbamzapine, 150mg lamotrigine, 400mg zonisamide at night. A doozy huh. I will have to set up an appointment with my neurologist to talk about changing meds because I already know for sure Zonisamide is not ok to be preggers on. I have added Folic Acid to my morning Regimen of pills also. Seizure meds deprive your body of the folic acid it already has so it causes birth defects some are worse than others. The normal pregnant woman has to take this as well but women with Epilepsy are advised to take even more during the entirety of the pregnancy and if posible before. I started June 13,2020. I feel like this i long enough for now, I cant wait for this journey to begin.
