Mastery Journal: Public Relations Final Project and Thesis

Wow! Words cannot express what I am feeling writing the last journal. I do not know where to start with this Mastery Journal entry. I underestimate myself, but March 2019 has shown me that I have achieved a lot more. I never thought I could learn in just twelve months with this program. I cannot believe that I have mastered the Public Relations field. I still have a lot to learn. But, I’m happy to say that in a few more days I will have completed my master’s degree! It still does not feel real, and that this is the final class that has sent me on mix-emotions, stress, and professionalism into my chosen field.

I am thankful for all of the support I received from my family, friends, and professors for my last weeks of school who were willing to take the time out to help her students.

This month I learned the correct way to write a proper thesis with the APA guidelines of Full Sail University. I was used to MLA format, but with this paper, I learned how to use the APA format, correctly, it was confusing even with the examples, but once I understood the APA format it was not so different, but it was great learning the proper way of writing. This is the course where all the hard work was done over the past several months for my client would finally be seeing, and all the project is coming together with varied results.

To see all the work being placed from my reports, videos, and pictures come together at the end of a year is a good feeling and great accomplishment on a professional and personal level. I have learned a lot through this particular course and plan to continue to look forward into my professional career.

I will bring the tools and understanding of the public relations career with me. I have completed a milestone. I have achieved self-realization and a great reward for my future. Over the next several months, I will be rebranding my website, and social media pages to include my accomplishments and move forward with my plans. I would continue working with my capstone client to make sure her business succeeds and keep working to rebranding her website.

I am grateful for this opportunity, and I look forward to putting my knowledge and skills to use after I graduate.

The Online Media Room-Online

This course was not what I was expecting it to be, but I am glad I was able to go through the course. Even with my family emergency, where I had to be going daily to see my uncle at the hospital, I am thrilled that I was able to finish the course and the help of Professor Lee. I could thank my professor was understanding in these difficult times, it has not been easy this past couple of weeks, but I am glad I had the opportunity to finish the course. This month seem like an easy class, but do not underestimate the course. I do not know where to begin on where to start within this Mastery Journal entry. The course focus on the online and social presence within our client brand. In today's digital era social media branding is a Hughe force of the current situation, and the entire brand can live, or it could die within social media, and it is critical for any professional to understand who digital world take over any brand. I learned during this course how the skills I learned throughout my capstone client were used to build a foundation into setting up an online media room for the client. During week 3 and week four we were able to polish and received feedback from our classmates throughout the progress of our work done for our capstone client. The peer feedback was so necessary as for our understand and learning from our mistakes to help with having the proper media room.

I am so happy I can finally move forward with all the knowledge and tool that I can best use with my capstone client and with the best support. The program has prepared me for my future ahead in the public relations career. I have learned in the correct use of content and the content strategy and how it changes over time. It varies from the perspective of writing in a mural, to pen and paper, typewriter and how a computer and another type of gadgets can change the speed of branding a webpage rapidly. This course is one of the class I know that will help me in my public relations career, and I look forward to putting my knowledge and skills to use after I graduate.
