You know what I think its grossly under-rated in fandom? Second loves.
What it's like to love and lose and then love again. To suffer through either the death of a loved one or the death of a love you used to share. To know that loss, to know that hurt, and to still make yourself vulnerable to someone again. To love scared, to love wounded, to love anyway.

You know, when I see fictional characters who repress all their emotions, they're usually aloof and very blunt about keeping people at a distance, sometimes to an edgy degree—but what I don't see nearly enough are the emotionally repressed characters who are just…mellow.
Think about it. In real life, the person that's bottling up all their emotions is not the one that's brooding in the corner and snaps at you for trying to befriend them. More often than not, it's that friendly person in your circle who makes easy conversation with you, laughs with you, and listens and gives advice whenever you're upset. But you never see them upset, in fact they seem to have endless patience for you and everything around them—and so you call them their friend, you trust them. And only after months of telling them all your secrets do you realize…
…they've never actually told you anything about themselves.

A kinda redraw of an old piece from a project that I never finished (surprise /s). I felt compelled to draw cartoon dogs and it's a nice way to compare how I've come along since my last try at freehanding an animal I don't often draw. I'm definitely more comfortable with pushing shapes and simplifying. My lines are more confident and smooth. I add more texture in my colour these days too. Overall, I'm quite happy with what I'm seeing here.

"Good Morning". It has been far too long since I did a major piece of art, and I am so glad I did. Really pleased with this one.

It’s been a hot while since I did any real art of my characters and I recently moved from Corel Painter to Clip Studio Paint, so I thought I better check I can still draw. Turns out I can. Clip Studio is really user friendly and I’m loving the brushes. I don’t feel as overwhelmed or frustrated by it as I did with Corel. So, here’s Liang. Probably the best and most accurate piece of art I’ve done of him to date. And now back to conserving my artistic energy for game assets and programming.

Red eyes for Halloween month. I focused more on the sketch than the colour and ran out of steam. But it’s something. And Asmodeus never gets enough art.
