So I’ve always been fascinated by black holes and loved looking at pictures of them since I was a little kid and decide to get a refresher on how they are made.

Just to find out

That they are all

Fake

That we didn’t even have any real images of black holes.

It’s all artwork.

This is the first image we apparently have of a real black hole in the center of our galaxy just released this year:

This is huge in the science community, but…..yet another fragment of my childhood and reality has been butchered.
