“It’s a Ronan tradition. They’re wedding bands. The twisting lines carved into them represent all the intricate ways our lives are intertwined, but they wrap around the ring, see? They go on forever, to symbolise our eternity together. My name is carved into the inside of your ring, and yours in mine, and that’s what makes each pair unique”
For my latest 3D project, something simple yet meaningful! Kiena and Ava’s wedding rings from the amazing Breaking Legacies by @mezoereed! It’s the book that got me back into reading, and it really is just so beautiful. Thank you for all the tears, all the smiles. I enjoyed every page of it. And as soon as I read this passage, I just knew I had to model them.
The rings are made of gold, and meant to be worn on the index finger. The engravings are silvered, and the celtic pattern is filled with crushed gemstones, giving it that colour. The colour has significance. Kiena is often associated with green, being a huntress, so Ava’s ring has the green inlay. Ava’s most remarkable feature are her stunning blue eyes, hence the blue inlay on Kiena’s ring.
Big shoutout and thank you to @lesly-oh, your amazing art got me into the book! It led to me meeting Reye, who’s a wonderful person and great writer, and together, both of you, you have inspired me in ways I never thought were possible. I may not have your talent for art, but I wanted to contribute in what little ways I can. This is a beautiful fandom, and I’m so proud and happy to be a part of it!

One Sister have I in our House by Emily Dickinson
One Sister have I in our house -
And one a hedge away.
There's only one recorded,
But both belong to me.
One came the way that I came -
And wore my past year's gown -
The other as a bird her nest,
Builded our hearts among.
She did not sing as we did -
It was a different tune -
Herself to her a Music
As Bumble-bee of June.
Today is far from Childhood -
But up and down the hills
I held her hand the tighter -
Which shortened all the miles -
And still her hum The years among,
Deceives the Butterfly;
Still in her Eye
The Violets lie
Mouldered this many May.
I spilt the dew -
But took the morn, -
I chose this single star
From out the wide night's numbers -
Sue - forevermore!
