jesus Kentaro Miura passed away, I can’t even process this; Berserk is one of the most influential narratives to myself and many others. RIP King, you were a legend

Still one of the best kisses in manga
There is absolutely no denying Miura’s technical mastery and how much his vast overwhelming and complicated visuals were groundbreakers in both fantasy and horror art and how he’s influenced so many artists and creators, but we also can’t forget that pushing all these visuals forward was a story about traumatized people trying to find their place in the world: Trying to find a home, losing that home, losing yourself, then trying to find yourself and your place all over again.

Miura is gone, but his legacy will live on in his works and in the inspired works of countless others.
He created a bonfire of dreams. Thank you for letting us rest by that fire, Miura.
