whumpee wakes screaming up with the feeling of whumper's hands on them. they curl into themself and break into sobs.

caretaker pounds on the door and the handle shakes, "whumpee, you're alright, you're safe at home with me!"

whumpee who occasionally gives up and just lays there for a few minutes.

maybe they’re safe and just taking a breather, maybe they need a minute before attempting to save themself, maybe they’ve actually given up.

either way, they just lay there and stare at the ceiling. they’re very tired.

Imagine Whumper sending Caretaker a gift in the mail. Caretaker hopes that it’s not Whumpee’s teeth, or a finger, or anything like that. Hesitantly, they open the box. It’s a calendar. All the months have a picture of Whumpee bleeding, or restrained, or unconscious. Scribbled on the front, in Whumper’s handwriting, is “Thought you’d miss them! Here’s some photos. There’s more where those came from!”

I love 'hero living long enough to become the villain', but oughhhh, 'villain living long enough to become the hero' is life altering. Also not just ending in some goddamn sacrifice. They've gotta legit LIVE with those actions. And holy fuck, if they end up caring for someone they previously traumatized and now have to bear being the thing that haunts their nightmares for years? OH, THE ANGST, TAKE ME NOW!!!

There needs to be so much more (co?)dependent whumper and whumpee content out there. Like soo much more. I need a whumpee letting whumper hurt them because they know whumper needs the stress relief! Or on the other hand: a whumpee who will always forgive whumper no matter what they do to them because they're scared no one else will love them like whumper. Whumper who NEEDS someone to control and hurt to feel in control of something in their lives and taking it out on someone they're close with. There is just so. Much. Potential.

whumpee going snooping one day when whumper is out, finding a bunch of files on whumper’s laptop named “[whumpee’s name] <3”

despite the heart, when whumpee inevitably opens the files out of curiosity, it is hundreds of photos of them

horrible, horrible photos

photos of their bruised body, bloody and cut, lying on the cold concrete floor after one of whumper’s punishments

photos of their limbs bent at awkward angles, broken and already swelling

photos of their mouth, lips busted, teeth chipped

photos of their flesh

of their pain

and they don’t even remember whumper taking these.

It's always fun when you have two characters going through the same thing but one of them has been through it all before and the other one was only told about what happened. It's kind a like getting scalded by a cup of tea, telling your partner the tea is hot and then watching them scald their mouth. All while you continue to drink the scalding tea because it's too late for you anyway.

In other news I scalded myself with a cup tea and my reflection in the kitchen window shot me a dirty look.

Whumpee who has nightmares they wake up from completly silent from

They'd curl up into a small ball and cry

Caretaker would find this out eventually and whumpee would panic, that is until caretaker would pull them into a hug

let your whumpee fall asleep during a car ride

caretaker notices it while waiting at a red light, gently brushes their knuckles over whumpee’s cheek, sighing in relief. at last, they rest

and let caretaker carry them home and tuck them into bed and kiss them goodnight

when whumpee wakes up, it’s all gonna be alright again

Whumper who sees escape attempts as part of the game

They never stop whumpee. They always let them do whatever they've concocted up in their silly little head, and escape, either to catch them right at the exit with pitying eyes or recapture them from wherever they thought they were finally safe so easily that it chills whumpee to the bone.

The worst part for whumpee really is that they only find out after so many tries how whumper not only doesn't mind, but nearly encourages them to keep looking for ways out — more ways to get punished. They look forward to catching them over and over again. The last time they had dragged whumpee back to their cell they wore a big smile, and were giddy as they tied them down, singing, — "I can't wait to see what you come up with next."

Whumpee begins to lose interest in looking for a way out.

Been seeing a lot of posts lately that discuss ways magical healing can be a little more interesting and carry on with the whump rather than just nixing it, so I'll throw in my 2 cents: magical healing that has to actively reverse the damage done in order to work.

Meaning as in, whatever happened to the whumpee happens again, only in reverse. You've got a stab wound in your side? Okay, the feeling of being stabbed is going hit you all over again but in a weird, unnatural feeling way that's somehow worse, the fibres of your muscles and flesh and skin will knit back together and you're going to feel like a knife is being drawn out of your body the whole time it's happening. Also it takes twice as long -- things take longer to rebuild than to destroy etc etc

The whole ‘secret meeting, come unarmed’ trope but with a living weapon. As soon as the team arrives, they’re searched heavily for weapons, and living weapon is escorted out of the room with all the other contraband found.

Living weapon being kept in a bland, locked room whilst the team discuss plans and the possibility of a truce with their enemy, unable to know how it’s going or if their team is safe.

Bonus points if this is post-whump where living weapon is recovering with the team. I imagine them being treated like any other gun or blade would be pretty harmful to the recovery stage.

Thinking about a whumpee who desperately tries to stay in denial as whumper gradually escalates sexual contact.

First it was just some lingering touches and innuendos, and that was fine, easy to write off. Then those touches started moving places, and the comments became overtly sexual. Not so easy to ignore, maybe a little uncomfortable, but probably still fine, right?

Now whumper is groping xem and forcing kisses, and it’s not fine anymore but it’ll stop here, right? Except it escalates to hand/blowjobs/cunnilingus, and whumpee hates it but this is as far as it goes, surely. This has to be where it stops.

When it finally reaches penetrative sex, it’s everything xey feared and whumpee can’t be in denial anymore. Xey didn’t know how to make it all stop before, and now xey feel like it’s too late.

Violating the thin line that exists between holding and wielding power over someone and dominating them sexually. Without anything actively sexual actually going on.
