Getting Ready at the Gym
I was recently put in the situation where I needed to go straight to a nice lunch after a trip to the gym. I may be in the minority on this one, but I'm not a fan of this scenario. I prefer to shower and get ready at home and then go back out into the world. Unfortunately today was not that day and when faced with this realization I packed a bag.

And of course I forgot some things, but I also learned a few things along the way.
Things I Forgot:
My eyeshadow primer
My dip brow brush
Things I Learned:
My gym has a vanity station with hairdryers
Clean the vanity countertop, (just incase)
Bring your own mirror, (you are going blind)
The outcome of this story is simple. Despite the fact that I am always avoiding this particular situation I am fully capable of getting ready at the gym without leaving the building looking like a wet rat.

In fact I was quite pleased with the outcome. Surprisingly enough I might venture to say that I was more proud of my after photo than the workout I completed that day.

Work Week of Lipstick
What ended up in my purse at the end of the week?

As a lipstick lover and at this point hoarder I have been trying to rotate my collection and spread the love. This week I decided to try to reach for products I have seen myself ignoring and give them a go. By Thursday I noticed a trend. Each morning I chose a new lip look, put the product(s) in my bag, (just incase I needed a touch up,) and promptly left them there. I typically return all lipsticks to my vanity at the end of the day. A practice I made permanent after misplacing a favorite lipstick for several days, but not this week. So by Friday I was curious to see what I'd fine.
The Lipstick List:
Monday- Kylie Cosmetics Velvet Liquid Lipstick in Dazzle
Tuesday- Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner in Safe Word & NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Bahama
Wednesday- Pixi MatteLast Liquid Lip in Evening Rose
Thursday- Kylie Cosmetics Lip Liner in Bare & Kylie Cosmetics Lip Gloss in Literally
Friday- NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner in Whipped Caviar & Colourpop Lippie Stix in Brink
Needless to say it was nice to give my Melt, Tarte and Dose of Color lipsticks a break and take a risk. I was actually quite pleased with many of these lip looks. In fact I may have fell in love with an old product during the execution of this exercise. "And what lip look was it?" You may ask...

It was Thursday's. Trust me, I was surprised as you were, but happy to have it in my arsenal.
