I'm backpacking for the next six months without my phone

So if ur wondering why I'm not answering ur dm or ask or cool tag game or whatever, that's why!

I was fortunately lucky enough to be accepted into the backcountry trails program through the California Conservation Corps. I'll be spending the next 6 months being paid as I train to do trail maintenance work.

We will be clearing trail as we hike into some of California's coolest wilderness areas, all carrying our gear on our backs. My only communication with the outside world will be through mail delivered my mule train.

If ur seeing this before July 9th, I am currently in Sequoia National Forest.

If ur seeing this between July 10th and September 15th I'm in Tahoe National Forest.

I'm gonna miss u guys!!

This is actually the third time I've drawn this picture.

I drew the first iteration of this in January 2022. At the time, this blog mainly posted joke content and I did all the lineart in MS Paint with a mouse. I

The first remake was drawn in November 2022, a little under a year later. At this point I'd learned how to use Krita, but was still using a mouse. I would until like four months ago lol.

a lot of transmisogynists use the "where there's smoke, there's fire" belief to backwardsly justify their harassment. like, if you go to the blogs of the people calling me out right now many of them are accusing trans girls of sexually harassing them, and they'll say that over and over again, like wow all these trans girls are sexually harassing me. and then you scroll down far enough, and you find out that by "these specific trans girls are sexually harassing me" they mean "i got anonymous threats in my inbox". this is of course is, without any evidence, presented as factually the fault of these trans girls (because trans girls are predators, of course)

but of course, the same users spending weeks talking smearing a trans girl and talking about what a predator she definitely is, spending hours trailing through all of her posts' likes to see if anybody unscrupulous is following her, creating a 100 page document dedicated to how she's a sexual predator because people she has never met are interacting with her posts -- none of that is sexual harassment, and none of this is the responsibility of the person involved.

if a TME person gets anon hate whilst in the midst of a sexual harassment campaign against trans women? of course, those filthy rapist pedophile trannies are behind it.

but creating google docs dozens of pages long falsely alleging a trans girl is a sexual predator because somebody liked her posts once or twice, marking her as okay to aim social violence at because of her kinks -- that's not sexual harassment. it's her fault for posting on tumblr; all of it was readily available on her blog, she shouldn't hang out with the wrong people.

the double standard is so obvious that it would be funny if these specific individuals didn't serially get away with it over and over again.
