She and Bryony become girlfriends because bryony is the only redwaller that isn't suspicious of her and raise veil together. Bluefen adjusts to abbey life well enough, veil is still a little bitch (affectionate) but turns out slightly better off

I literally cannot wrap my mind around why Luke left six-season-old Timballisto in charge of the tribe. My best guess is that it went something like this:

Luke: Timballisto, you’re in charge.

Timbal: Yeah!

Luke, to Windred: Windred, you’re actually in charge.

Windred: Of course.

Or else Timbal is Martin’s cousin or something and he inherited the position (it was passed down from Luke’s father to Luke) because he was older than Martin, if only by 3 seasons.

Just…there were adults there! Why would you leave a child in charge!

Find it interesting how in the bellmaker nagru mentions sending someone to dark ice instead of dark forest. So, are there different versions of dark forest depending on where you live? Dark desert? Dark swamp? Like as a cultural thing.
