Teenage Pregnancy

   It has become a wide spread norm for teenagers to have babies, especially along the central coast. While some teenagers may claim there are many benefits to having a child at such a young age, I strongly disagree with them. Their motives are selfish and not well thought out. For several reasons young teens feel that having a child at this age is necessary. The most common reason is the teenage mother feels that by having a baby the father must stay with her. In addition, even if they had a selfless motive their mentally and economically unable to take proper care of an infant in a suitable manner. How can someone that is still dependent on his or her own parents take care of a child of his or her own?

    A lot of teen's claim they are ready to have a child, but don't realizes the many difficulties and responsibilities to raising a child. Teenagers today have this mentality that they are unstoppable and that they can handle things on their own, when in reality they can't. It's usually the teens between the ages of 14-18 who have this ignorant mentality. They feel that they are mature enough to live on their own; and adult enough to make these kind of decisions, but they aren’t. They make decisions and find themselves in a position that they cannot escape. Reality hits them when it's too late. They realize what they are missing out on as a teenager and realize they made a really bad decision. When it comes to bringing a child into the world, people need to make sure that it is the smartest decision for everyone in the situation. By trying to show people that they were a mature adult, they have brought an innocent child in to the world and realize the harsh realities of being a parent at such a young age.

    For me the only sure way to prevent teen pregnancy is abstinence. Do not let your partner coerce you into doing something you may regret later. Having someone you can talk to, your parents, a guidance counselor, a friend, or someone you feel comfortable talking to, would be very helpful.

Sa malawak na lalawigan sa Mindanao may isang malaking lawa na malakas ang agos. Maraming dayuhan ang gusting-gusto itong Makita dahil sa linang ng tubig. Dahil sa lakas ng agos ay nasakupan niya ang malaking daanan, nung malaunan ay lumakas ang agos ng tubig, hanggang sa may nakakita na mga tao at tinawag nila itong daanan ng tubig o agusan ng tubig. Kaya mula noon lahat ng makakita sa ilog ay tinatawag nila itong AGUSAN RIVER.

SHORT STORY

A long time ago, there was a simple yet beautiful girl named Scarlet Snow, she's beautiful, simple, humble and independent, she lived with her grandmother in the popular Village in New York, her parents were dead since she's at her young age. Scarlet has her childhood best friend named Xander, who's playboy, bad boy, attention seeker and overprotective of her best friend.

Time passed by, Scarlet deeply fallen in love with her best friend, even though he's not a kind of guy that we can say every girl ideal. Scarlet kept her feelings contained as long as she can because she didn't want Xander to felt awkward and it is possible that their friendship will end. Years passed, Scarlet can't keep her feelings anymore, and she decided to tell Xander. She was nervous and she felt excited at the same time felt confused if she will continue or just keep it as a secret forever, but it was too late Xander came and talk to her. "Hey, what do you want? I think you have something to say, an important right? Well I guess, it was obvious." Scarlet smile with full of nervous and Said "Xander, I’m fallen in love with you, it was a long time ago, I love you more than a best friend.” Xander laugh and Scarlet felt disappointed. "Then, prove it!" Xander said Xander was drunk.  Scarlet cried and all she wanted is to die because of the situation. Scarlet smile sarcastically and there was an idea that builds into her mind. "I will prove it. I love you and my life is nothing without you, if you can't love me back, it's much better to end this life." Scarlet get a knife and pointed it to her chest and the red liquid flows with a teardrop. Scarlet prove the truth, her life end because of Xander, she dead. Xander cried, he regrets that much.

After lots of months, Xander realizes that of Scarlet prove that she loves him, what should he? So he decided to be a successful man so that Scarlet will be proud of him even if she's not with him. Xander do everything just to be a better man and he proves that he also loved Scarlet but it is too late because the girl he loves most is dead.  To prove his love he becomes a successful man.
