A Sig design for my AU.

An older Sig who has lived several years with his loving found family and has grown into a cheerful, at peace with himself, young man. He very much had his arc and is now just living his best life.

Working out a larger story idea I've had for a while.

A concept from it I am very attached to is Sig feeling lingering guilt for his demon side's actions and Marle breaking her usual vow to not get too involved, to be his invisible advisor, guiding him to a happy outcome.

Introducing Alex, my OC fankid son of Sig and Hilda.

Alex is me wanting to explore the idea of Sig in the future raising a kid with much bigger awareness of his demon heritage, to protect him from it.

He took up swordfighting like his mother and Sig would prefer him staying away from anything involving magic, to keep him safe.

He's a kind and heroic youth, taking after both his parents and a bit more openly emotive than his father tended to be. Likes bugs, but not to Sig's degree and has a bit of a nevous laughing tic, which he got from his mother.

He always means well, but has a tendency to put to much of a burden on himself and think he needs to shoulder more problems than one person can reasonably solve on their own.

Alex respects and has a great relationship with both his parents, but does look into his demon heritage more than they deem neccesary for his safety.

I don't really talk about them anymore and plenty discouraging things have come up over time, but despite this I'll always carry a torch for them.

I don’t really use Tumblr anymore, outside of my Wario blog, but figured I’d share this here, since I am very happy with it.

Been thinking this a lot with the art book, but it’s funny how the post-Fever 2 games don’t bother with sensical scaling for manzai sprites, to show how the cast compare in size.

20th’s manzai sprites are the most extreme case, even in Puyo Quest Arcade where they are next to each other full-body.

Doesn’t make silly stuff like Draco being taller then Schezo or Rulue any less funny though.

Sig and Rafisol are my favorite Puyo characters and I dearly hope they’ll get to interact at some point. 

There is so much potential for a great dynamic there and I want to see it explored.

Is very empathetic towards Arle and fights Rulue for her, abandons bugs to look for Raffine, makes sure Amitie doesn’t collapse and frees Feli from her brainwashing. 

Sig’s a good guy that deeply cares for his friends, calling him unfeeling or uncaring is a gross missread of his character

I love to bring up the Sig/Jaan manzai from Puyo Quest because these two interacting felt like a pipedream that would never happen, yet it did. 

Helps that the two were my first Puyo crack ship and the manzai involves Jaan becoming a fangirl for Sig’s red arm AND taking up bug catching.

Also gives some official basis for having them be friends in my AU, so it’s not just pure author appeal on my part.
