"My mood is off, I don't know why? I just heard an owl! They must be here to remind me it's okay to cry."🦉

So here's a story. In April I was experiencing anxiety so extreme my PCP had to prescribe meds for me. Why I was having anxiety so badly was because of some stuff I don't want to get into. During an anxiety attack I heard an owl hooting and the sound distracted me long enough to calm down. Come time of anxiety inducing events, I ended up having a breakdown in public. Having to run to a restroom nearby to not be seen as much as possible, I bawled my eyes out. I cried so hard my ribs hurt for weeks. Eventually, I was able to gather together enough to mask myself and get back to it. But later that day even though I tried to present to be okay, my Kiddo noticed I wasn't. We stopped at a gas station, and she went inside with my close family while I stayed in the car to try to breathe it out. When my Kiddo came back with my family, what did she bring happen to bring me? It was a plush owl, and she hugged me tight and reminded me it's okay to cry. It's okay to cry.💌

"Can't keep me down"🦫

My art is about the persistence of a real beaver found in bad condition earlier this year at Susquehanna River. With 14 bb sized pellets lodged in his head among other health issues. To this day the beaver continues to be in recovery, and can no longer live in the wild. No one has been held accountable. If anyone knows anything please speak up, they can't speak for themselves. Animal cruelty is not okay.
