Over the past six months, I have been reading a lot of different Beetlejuice fanfics. I was trying to find something that would keep you in suspense throughout each chapter. I was interested in quite a few works, but the TOP 3 fanfics that I remember are SOMEONE ALWAYS (ALWAYS) DIES IN THE END, The Rose, Every Breath You Take (new). The last one made a big impression on me. I have long planned to draw a cover for this fanfic and would really like to contact the author in the future. I hope that one day he will see this post and art. I already have references ready, the art will be worthwhile. I would really like the author to pay attention to my work. Words cannot convey the quality of your story, Basque_R0s3! I highly recommend reading this story to those who have not yet been acquainted!

Have I really found an ally? In my opinion, in the 1989 film, Mile literally has one serious expression on his face for a split second, as you definitely correctly noted. His gestures are far from a sign of his jokes and so on. It seems to me that this is how he tries to convey his essence to us. That's why I draw the Beatle more often in thoughtfulness. This is his charm, which not everyone can notice so often, but only … the chosen ones. And it immediately becomes clear that he was an unhappy man who fell into the "shackles" of Delores once in life. Yes, he was a fraud, but damn, he tried to earn a living in those wretched times. I do not encourage this, but now that he is already a ghost, in my opinion it is not difficult to understand that he simply got used to this role and now all that remains for him is to wander and scare everyone. If we were in his place, what would we do? People often find themselves in similar situations. In general, Burton has a lot of hidden plans, each of his main characters is unique and that's why we love his work.

So there's this single frame in the original Beetlejuice movie (1988), when Betel is preparing to tell the Maitland's his qualifications, where he "gets into character" and his mood drops. And it's just a split second in the film, a literal blink-and-you'll-miss-it, but it's lived in my head rent free for decades because I managed to pause on it once many, many years ago. I love the complex expression that Keaton decided to use in that moment to recenter the character. It's almost pensive, almost placid, and almost affronted at the question being asked of him- I had to paint it. Anyway hi, I'm Twinklefigs, and I like the strange and usual. I hyperfixate and focus on the teeny, tiny details way too much. Expect more Betel (a lot more Betel), some Beetlebabes, and a lot of other content from various fandoms and original work along the way, too. Painted in Krita. 2025. (Also plz tell me if it looks super high contrast or weird for you? I've been having trouble with my Krita exports lately).
