This is a monument to the US colonization of the Philippines. The US killed at least 200,000 Filipinos in the Philippines-US war and US imperialism until now greatly affects the Philippines. The struggle for liberation of colonized peoples is one. I, for one, welcome this defacement, and would actually like to see it vandalized even more.

Help us evacuate Gaza
Hello Everyone
I am Mohammed Al-Anqar from the northern Gaza Strip, married to Walaa, I am a father of four children. Zeina 13 years old, Salma 12 years old, Omar 6 years old, Batoul 1 year old. I live in a tent with my family.😢🥺

My family and I are facing unimaginable hardships due to the ongoing war in Gaza. We have lost our home, my career, and our sense of security. Now, we live in a small tent, trying to survive every day amidst the chaos and destruction.

Before the war. But that life was shattered. Now we are desperate to find safety and start over. But we need your help. We are trying to raise money to escape Gaza and rebuild our lives in a place where we can finally find peace.

My home used to be a symbol of hope, now it is nothing but broken walls and rubble. I have just finished building our home, the place where I finally feel safe. But in the blink of an eye, the ongoing war destroyed everything. The sound of explosions filled the air, and I fled with nothing but the clothes on my back. Now, where our memories and dreams once lived, all that remains is destruction.

if you're looking for a sign to get the hysterectomy, get it. if you are wondering if you will feel freer, less burdened, more optimistic, lighter without your uterus, you will. if you simply want to never get periods again, get the hysterectomy. if you want to have sex with a different person every day forever and never worry about getting pregnant, get the hysterectomy. if you don't know whether or not you want to stay on hormones, get the hysterectomy anyway. if you're afraid you're too young, and that people will judge you, get it anyway. you don't have to live in a hostile body. you are the one who gets to decide what it will and will not do.

hello again (bill clinton limewire voice) my fellow americans
There are a few states that actually have Shield/Refuge laws designed to help trans people fleeing from trans-unsafe states, which also guarantee trans folks access to healthcare. These states are:
California
Colorado
Illinois
Oregon
Vermont
Washington
Minnesota
New Mexico
Maine
Massachusetts
Rhode Island
Connecticut
Washington D.C.
Additionally, some states have "trans sanctuary" executive orders signifying safety for trans folks seeking healthcare. These states are:
Maryland
New Jersey
New York
Living as a resident in these states means you are protected by state's rights and state government to continue or begin receiving trans healthcare. These laws have been codified in their states so everything has been a-ok'd by their state governments.
Stay alive. You got this. I love you.

"Trump wasn't going to stop the genocide" Well!
The lady who proudly called herself "top cop" wasn't going to stop police brutality.
The lady who gleefully incarcerated trans women in men's prisons while denying them HRT, and who couldn't even be bothered to least lie and say she'd protect trans rights in any way when directly asked about it, wasn't going to protect trans people.
The lady who was right next to Biden as he allowed for Roe v Wade to go to shit wasn't going to do anything for abortion rights.
The lady who was endorsed by several fascists including Richard fucking Spencer and who went out of her way to promise she'd be terrible to immigrants wasn't... Going to be good to immigrants.
Etc etc. So. I'm sorry but like, what are we even on about lmao.

anybody paying attention saw the rise in conservatism among the youth over the last few years. the return of the r slur, modesty/ tradwife content, rampant fatphobia, misogynistic twitch streamers...the writing was on the wall

many of us do. it's difficult not to succumb to the feeling of not being able to do something and being completely helpless. and while it's true that individually none of us can change the world, we do have the power together to make an impact, especially on the lives of individual people around us.
instead of succumbing to feelings of doom and despair about the election, the climate, or any other ongoing crises, please consider donating to ibrahim. that is a real way to have a real impact on someone's life.
ibrahim is only 15 and is trying to raise funds to not just help him and his family escape the genocide, but also to survive in the current conditions. he has been displaced and exposed to countless horrors time and time again. the least we can do is attempt to help him.
please, if you can: match my donation of €10. if you can't spare that, spare €5 or even €1. if you really have nothing to give, share this post. don't turn away from suffering. this is your chance to do something.

"Kamala only lost because she's a black woman" Biden is a white man and he would have lost even worse. Kamala lost because her campaign was ass and the administration she is a part of is immensely unpopular. Maybe it has less to do with "the US not being ready for a woman president" and more with her saying "I wouldn't have done anything different" about a president hated by most of the country, just a thought.

Do people realize that choosing to deal with the outcome of this election by going into the inbox of minorities on Tumblr (particularly Arab people) and blaming them is probably not the look they want to go for if they want to dispute that they have internalized racism or view people of color as their punching bag for something that had nothing to do with them
