He paused looking at the other for confirmation that they were ready before executing another backflip.

“You and like a million other people,” she hummed, hanging upside down on the couch. Moving to stand on her hands, bending backwards, till both hands and feet were on the ground, back curved. Pushing herself to stand. “Name’s Mel.”

“Um thanks?” he said, not quite sure if the man talking to him was actually being complimentary or not. “Not quite sure about the cookie thing. So what’s your name?”

“Sure!” Jason gestured with his hand “Lead the way. I’m not one hundred percent sure where the place is.”

Task 1

Jason just sat there staring at the camera for a moment. He had hardly talked to anyone in his time here and the one person he did talk to at length he initially annoyed the fuck out of. He just kept staring at the camera until he just decided to go with... “Hal, because he is almost literally the only person I’ve talked to.”

“I honestly don’t remember the last time I pulled one of those. I never really liked them.” He paused for a second  “I do that the person would really have to piss me off, though.”

“Thank you.” Hal said in a slightly exasperated sigh as he took the other’s hand. “Lovely to meet you, Jason, I’m Halzhar, but you can call me Hal.”

“Nie to meet you too Hal.” Jason smiles “You mentioned coffee, and that reminds me I need to run by the coffee shop here sometime. I’ve never been..”

“Because it’s completely …not needed?” Hal thought, trying not to be a dick even though every fiber of his being screamed for him to do so. “Most people just ask to get coffee and shake hands. That good old fashioned stuff.”

Jason opened his mouth to say something along the lines of “Yeah, but that’s what most people do.” but looking at the person in front of him he could tell the guy was trying his best not to go off. He could tell he was coming off a bit obnoxious, so he tried to dial it back a bit. “Okay then, let’s start over.” he extended his hand for the other person to shake “Hi, my name’s Jason. What’s yours?”

“This isn’t the promo shoot anymore, kid.” Hal said with a puzzle look on his face. “Why is that your greeting anyhow?”

“I can do a back flip.” Jason said shrugging his shoulders “Why wouldn’t that be part of my greeting?”

Jason straightens up with a grin on his face “Honestly with the right spell you can make other people do a lot of things.”

“I’m Jason and hey look what I can do!” He says as he does a perfect backflip. Yeah, he knows it’s a bit show-offy, but honestly, he couldn’t care less.
