IMMORTAL CITY Trilogy [Book Review]

Oh my gosh, what a journey it has been! It has been ages since the last novel I read about angels (which I truly love btw, I even attempted to write one on my own, hehe). So anyways, how did I even come across this book (yes, singular)? Well I was looking up for a cheap book on sale online and there I saw the gorgeous book cover of the 1st book (the hunk with wings and all) and I was hooked. Like I said, I was a sucker for angels and all. So yep, without second thoughts, I checked it out! Never did I know that it was in fact a trilogy and cannot stand on its own at all! It got me crazy after finishing the first book since the other two books were not available like physically online anymore! How crazy, right? And so I searched online for a soft copy like for sale or for free. I was leaning on for the FREE one since it's kinda expensive for just a soft copy which I know I'll be finishing in just a day or two. So yes, after a long search and before I finally gave up with the FREE stuff, I finally got hold of a copy! Sheez I was so excited and so I continued my quest to the glamorous and kinda weird angel world there was in this Immortal City.

Book review starts here though, lol. Overall, this book was a nice read. I had fun even though I'm against the annoying open-ended ending which I will elaborate later on. [Spoiler Alert]

So anyways, the Book 1 was all about how the female and male leads met and fall in love and all that typical things. She was a normal average girl while he's a famous, handsome and perfect angel who I personally drool over like the other girls in the book, lol. So yes, humans and angels co-exist in this story. Typical angel saves mankind kind of thing, you know. But then the angels live with them. But that's not just it.. because here, angels were commissioned and paid for a high price to save humans. So crazy, right? Like only the rich and privileged ones get to be saved by these gorgeous immortals. Where's the fairness in that, right? And so they're super rich, like with all the material stuffs which is kinda offish to me. At first I was appalled by this, making me almost give up reading the first book, like seriously. I was turned off like instantly. But something told me to give it a chance, like it's fiction after all. So yes, off I go. And it did not disappoint. I was hooked with the story, specially with the love story between the two leads. It was absolutely amazing! Especially the twist, OMG, that she's a freakin half angel!

And off to Book 2.. she even got her own wings! She was a late bloomer since she's part human, but she possessed all the angel abilities and even more (they said she's more of an angel than human). I was soooo thrilled by that revelation. My girl can kick butts too! And she can finally live like her angel boyfie, fly with him, and live longer than when she's human. Or is it?

Fast forward to Book 3, sad to say, I hate that open-ended ending. The book 3 was all about fighting with the demons and finding how evil the main antagonist turned out to be (which I kinda have a hunch already being a novel expert and all hehe). So good prevailed over evil as always, but how can they just end it like that after they made love that night? WHERE IS THE JUSTICE, AUTHOR? You cannot just do that and then end things like that! You cannot! So yes, I have another ending in mind like I always imagine when I encounter not-so-happy endings like this, lol. MY HAPPY ENDING: Yes, she decided to stay on earth to help her people recover, and be with her loved ones. Be the only angel hero left on earth blahblahblah. But after that so unsatisfying ending in the book--finding out that he's been always with her watching over her, and after everything was starting to settle and rebuilt what's been ruined (even after like ten years since she's part immortal).. she realized that she can already leave earth and be united with her beloved battle angle in heaven and make angel babies with him. Ahhh! That would be the best ending for me. Or that was maybe what the book implied after her realization--how she wanna be with him and it's the perfect time finally. So yes, happy ending for this trilogy! Now I can peacefully sign off with the IMMORTAL CITY ❤️

Such a refreshing family drama! I was hesitant to watch this at first even though my crush Song Weilong is the male lead. Actually I really decided not to watch at all.. BUT then I read the feedbacks from the people that it was a nice drama with good writing so that was it.. I finally decided to give it a try. I can stop anytime I want anyways. But again, that wasn't the case. In fact, the 40-episodes doesn't even feel that long. The story was that well-written. The story is basically a family drama and my heart was so touched by the twists and turns. But the ending was so satisfying, they all became a real family--legally. My heart was super satisfied ♡

This drama is super nice. Light drama only (and not extravagant production like the Starry Love) , plus the main leads are so cute/pretty 😍 Already inlove with #HouMinghao even before this but him here made me fall inlove all over again ♡ Okay so plotwise, it was kinda engaging. The first episode started from a duel already between the Dragon King and his "beloved" who didn't just used and betrayed him, but even torn him to pieces literally.. like his dragon bones, horns, heart and veins were taken off of him and were scattered to different places. His character's personality is kinda boring which is in contrast with his loveteam but it suits hin naman. Now I want tge leads to star a modern love drama! Please??

Priest Yohan AHHHHHH!!! Obviously the main reason why I watched this drama despite of the creepiness I feel while watching. I mean I wanna take a break from these evil spirits after watching The Uncanny Counter. They all said this is the baby of Alchemy of Souls and The Uncanny Counter which I already watched. And yes, so worth the chill after seeing my Eunwoo holding that glowing sword and kicking those evil spirits asses. It's still a mystery for me tho how he got hi powers. I mean the demon slayers was because of those fooled cult leader. Hmm, maybe I missed something? Huhu. Anyways, I also know the female lead since she's in the drama The Beauty Inside and I like her. Also the other male lead is so dope. I love his character overall. Thumbs up! Ready for Season 3??

This drama is everything!! Never a dull momemt again and it's not that intense where I wanna take a break and switch to a comedy drama just to ease the tension I was feeling while watching an intense episode (based on actual experience). The casts and the production made this drama even more exciting to watch. Like the actors and the costumes and the setting.. it was the icing on top! I just love the three main casts (not to mention very popular and highly paid ones)--Dilraba, Lusi and Leo.. yeah we're on first name basis now haha. Have watched some of their dramas already that's why I was more enticed to watch this drama. Like just Dilraba already screams WATCH ME to me.. not to mention those other two, especially Leo who I just watched in Fight Break Spears.. I loved him there! Even though he appears like a teen there and just two years later this new drama with Dilraba shook my entire system. I mean he was so different from that drama, less manly.. if you know what I mean. But in this drama.. he is soooo handsome!!

Anyways, getting back to the drama.. the plot, wow.. I was blown! It was like another new dimension which reminded me of Legend of Fuyao where they traveled to the different kingdoms--Central Plains, Grasslands and Dessert.. with the divisions--Eagle, Bear and Wolf of the Ashle Tribe. Also love the wars and struggle for power which turned to 180 degree in the end.. aside from the deaths of the innocent people who contributed a lot in the growth of the main characters, the story was a beauty. I wasn't traumatized with the ending.. unlike some dramas (ehem, Scarlet Heart).. Can't wait to watch the other dramas of these three main casts ♡♡♡

This drama is cute! Yes, cute is the word. Haha! I was drawn by the plot the very first time I learned about this. I mean twins with different persona--one prim&proper (the role model) and one happy-go-lucky/crafty (the deliquent) as it was described. One who will bring luck and prosper and one who will bring bad luck and disaster. And guess what? They got swapped with their supposed to be groom--one from the Heavenly Realm and one from the Demon Realm. Exciting, right?! And yes, I wasn't mistaken after watching the drama--it was so fun! The searching for the male lead's three soul chards was really a fun and funny adventure. The plot, check! Costumes, check! Characters/Actors, check! All of the main actors for me is new aside from the male lead who I already encountered in Goodbye My Princess (which is soo not a drama worth recommending. why? #ScarletHeartOnceAgain) The ending tho was so cliffhanger! I know they will have a happy ending based from the last scene, but they didn't make it come true! To see is to believe and be relieved. Hays. Hoping for that Stinger tho. Will patiently wait for my happy happy ending! ♡

First of all, I wasn't expecting anything from this drama at all. Why? Because first, I'm not fond of the female lead (watched her from Ashes of Love btw) and not familiar with the male lead (I'm kinda not feeling him from the photos/teasers?). Second, I don't know, maybe because I've watched xianxia dramas before and I pretty know what to expect--dieties, mortals, demons, trials, spells and all that. BUT I was stand corrected! THIS DRAMA IS EVERYTHING!! And I'm not exaggerating at all. Like wow, #newchineseactorcrushalert Cheng Yi is the new love of my life! He portrayed his role like so on-point, from the emotions the costumes, how he carry himself--he was a Supreme Lord indeed! (Shoutout to Dylan Wang who is also so good at portraying this role) The plot of this drama blown me away. It was really new and so exciting to watched. And the epic love story--the main couple sacrificing themselves for love--I know it is so overrated but I was totally hooked by their portrayals. This for me even beat the Ashes of Love (which she by the way was also the female lead lol)! Srsly! Still love the Eternal Love tho, they're head to head. But yeah, super satisfied with this 59-long episode drama. Imagine how long this drama is! But I was still bitin. OMG. And oh, the final ending was only made in two stingers so I'm so intrigued how the story really ended. They never explained how the two got revived from the dead because they died in Episode 59! Like what the heck?! But still, glad they made an effort to give the viewers some happy ending to hope for. #ScarletHeartNeverAgain Lol. Now I'm searching for Cheng Yi's drama and of course his new drama which is still a costume drama! Can't wait!!

And oh, this drama is so picturesque, I can't help but capture tons of photos of the leads :D

Okay so I admit I have watched a lot of Chinese dramas from last year but ended up writing about them right now. With my employment here in Makati, I don't know but I just didn't have the energy I guess to post. But now here they are!! New Chinese Dramas must watch!

Another adventure-packed drama that I surely enjoyed watching. Again, I was taken into another dimension.. lol.. But yeah, with the costumes, the acting and the set.. I didn't get bored at all. Okay so let's talk about the characters and actors who played the role---The Queen! She was like the Cleopatra of Korea and she was killing it! Very much suited for the role and she looks so pretty! But of course let's not forget the main lead.. Leo Wu was still so young here! I was stunned when I saw his latest drama--Love in The Galaxy--with Zhao Lusi. I was like--is that really him now?? And I figured that this was a 2018 drama so of course.. he grew up! This drama gave me a Dulou Continent vibes with all the level up thing in terms of their abilities/powers and the adventure they embarked with as they reach for their goal. And oh I almost forgot.. Xiao Xhan has a participation here!!

THIS IS A CLIFFHANGING SEASON-LACKING Drama tho. I mean the ending of the first season was super cliffhanging that an urgent 2nd season is much needed.. but they did not provided!! Ughhh.. I still can't get over the ending of the first season because the male lead was resurrected after being fooled/betrayed by her lover-supposed-to-be and his clan in a state of chaos. He needed to reclaim his and his clan's glory. But to no avail.. because we don't have a 2nd Season! This is my 3rd Scarlet Heart themed drama.. you know, cliffhanger! ;(

Wuxia to the max! This girl really takes over wuxia and she's not playing around. First watched her from her own drama The Legend of Fei with my babe Wang Yibo. Now, tho this is an old drama, I was amazed on how she really fits being a martial artist (who is noncholant and kinda boring actually in terms of personality). But slay girl! And the love story here is also to watch out for (but don't expect much). Tho don't ask about the ending of this drama coz you'll only be disappointed.... CLIFFHANGER ALERT!! I mean hello, this is a 2017 drama and what year is it now? 2022?? Really now??? #ScarletHeartOnceAgain My heart is really aching especially of the ending where her real powers was just awoken and she was about to take revenge. Imagine us watchers' frustrations. Strike 2 for cliffhanger dramas. Much to my frustration.

This is a cute drama. Dont know if it's because of the female lead but she's really cute haha. And Dylan Wang, his character as a mean and cold person suddenly changed when he fell inlove. The conflicts here isn't that heaft-breaking so yes, that explains my rating. It was good but it wasn't unforgettable. Really love Dylan Wang here tho. I really love how men in xianxia would sacrifice their high ranks and power, not to mention their own kingdom, for the sake of their loved one. How I wish to be.. a Chinese actress. Haha! I am not kidding!!

Yes, another Xu Kai drama!! But he's not in a costume drama this time again. He's a---wait, let me first share my initial thoughts while watching the first few episodes. So this is about a fake marriage contract deal between the two leads. Yeah typical story, yadahyadah, but don't underestimate Xu Kai's power!

'She's the man!' The leading lady is a lady boss which I really love about this. She's from Eternal Love btw so I already know her. She's so sophisticated here and my gahd, her chemistry with her *ehem* husband was soooo.. nakakainggit. Their kissing scenes OMG! I mean it's Xu Kai of course the kissing scenes are intense. Haha! Okay, speaking of.. to the husband now. At first I was confused. I mean hello, this is Xu Kai baby, how can he have a role with this kind of life? I mean he's not successful or anything. He's still living with his parents and just doing work at home. But hey, don't judge the character by what you see.. he's a genius stock analyst and he can make money just by staying at home and doing stocks. It's a happy ending tho, he got a real job (thru a billionaire, no big deal) and I got to see the sexy Xu Kai in tuxedo anyways. Haha! If you want a romantic drama, definitely watch this. Now I'm patiently waiting for his costume dramas. I mean he have like just three upcoming---no big deal. No it is!!!

KOREAN DRAMAS MUST WATCH [PART 1]

Alchemy of Souls 🔮

SEASON 1 & 2

WARNING: A LOOONNGG REVIEW

Ahhh I cannot! I cannot believe that it's overrrr! This series may be one of my favorite, if not the most fave, korean fantasy drama to date. The plot and the twists are so spot on. I really love how this drama was created from the production, the casts (Naksu at the beginning of S1 AHHH), the costumes and the plot. It keeps you wanting more. And oh, not to mention the handsomeness and beauty of the casts!! Naksu and Seo!! Season 1 is all about our main lead--Naksu--who turned out to be a victim only of our evil antagonist, finding her true self instead which took turn from its original plan of revenge. I saw only some few action scenes unlike in Chinese dramas where fighting scenes are indeed very satisfying.. so yeah it was quite a downfall from the thrill I felt from Naksu's fighting scene in the beginning. But yeah, since she was in a different body which embodies no powers at all, it was quite obvious that there won't be that much fighting scenes even for the guys. Chinese dramas influence is real!!

But then in Season 2, mygoodness.. I can't even remember a satisfying fighting scene which used Tansu or whatever power they have. All swords and that, nothing carved in my memory at all. Also, this time, the story focuses on Naksu--who's real name is Cho Yeong--who were Jin Buyeon now--finding who she really is.. again, as her memories where wiped out by Master Lee.. and Jang Uk being a hunter of soul shifters to atone for the sins of whoever, I forgor haha. Anyways, the ending of Season 2 was super satisfying. I was so relieved, knowing how kill joy the writers of this drama is! I can't still forget about Scarlet Heart OMGGG..

Season 3? There definitely should be! The season 2 ending gave us a LOT to think about that this series is not over YET. And here's why:

1. The last episode first and foremost showed us that Maidservant Kim was pregnant. Yes, this is something to add to the next season definitely. 2. Next, the 2nd Jin daughter and the leader of Songrim (sorry forgot their names), got twin boys. And it was said that Jang Uk and BJinyowonuyeon plans to have a daughter as their firstborn. Isn't this something to anticipate for?? The next successor ofJinyowon and the incredible divine powers. Not to mention that her father also possesses the ice stone. Imagine the immense powers their kids will have! 3. The very charming Seol will head Songrim with its recruitment with his so-called new system. And there were two mages with great potentials in becoming the next high-level mages that will eventually surpass even Jan Uk's level. Imagine?? A definitelymust watch! 4. Master Heo's granddaughter who had a crush on jang Uk and became the kontrabida in our eyes, evantually had this very mysterious "handsome" man who was said to be as handsome as Seol. Imagine!!! I am getting the chills even thinking about who this mysteryguy is. I mean, is he good or bad? Hmmm! 5. The episode ended with our favorite couple Jang Uk and Buyeon looking for the relics that escaped. Like 32 escaped and they only captured 12 so far. So imagine what their next adventures would be! This is what we all will be thrilled to watch definitely!6. And of course let's not forget about our very charming the crown prince--I mean King. Well, it's match-making time! Who did Buyeon chose as his future Queen?? It was Buyeon who suggested potential queens so it's a must watch!Ahhh the thrill the next season would bring. So why end this series when there are still lots to look out for? Right?

So please Netflix, let there be season 3!

A Netflix original.. again--so what do I expect?? Of course it is a superb drama! I am so not new with the palace twisted plots about revenge and fighting for throne. I mean, brothers filth theor hands with blood just to be the King or Crown Prince.. and this is what this drama is all about. I said I wasn't new in all these, right? But heck, watching this drama.. it was like watching an unfamiliar plot for the first time! THE QUEEN!!! I cannot.. she is AWESOME! To be honest, she was the reason why I backed out from watching this drama few months ago. Like seriously, she creeped the hell out of me. She just looks so intimidating! Srsly! But then two days ago, I saw a short clip from this drama wherein the Crown Prince was changing his clothes and then the Crown Princess suddenly barged in, seeing his nakedness (just topless, ehem) ...ahhh! And he is sooo handsome! So yeah, my weakness was kinda shaken and pushed me to watch the entire drama.. WHICH I REALLY THANK FOR BTW! And I am not exaggerating with the capital letters. She is the best Queen I have watched ever. Like Queen MOTHER to the highest level. She earned my respect, really. Because of her, many wrong doings were corrected and she saved a lot of lives.. not only her family and the King btw which is a very though thing to do honestly if the Queen isn't headstrong and witty. Being in the palace entails guts and more guts.. but of course, a ton of brains too. Those two things should be solid to be able to survive the evils of the palace.. which she succeeded in doing. The fights between princeses and concubines are such a terrifying thing to watch, but it was kinda okay with this drama compare with the other dramas I watched. (Nothing beats Yanxi Palace in Queen vs. Concubines btw.. NOTHING!) And speaking of.. The Queen is a Korean version of Wei Ying Luo.. such badass female leads. Femme fatale!

New crush alert! Lin Yi is the man ♡ This drama is so refreshing to watch. Like it's both funny and kilig together. Love watching every minute of it. The main female lead is so natural and she's also cute. I just wished she has longer legs tho so she won't look like a highschool girl and will be a perfect match for the male lead. Speaking of.. the male lead is sooo perfect for his role! I super love his character here---a weird genius + loyal boyfriend and not to mention super handsome. He's so adorable when he goes all Einstein and all "baby" as well haha. And yeah, it is the first time I've encountered him so he's a new crush alert for me like I said. He looks so young tho, probably the youngest among my Chinese actor crushes. But holymacarole, I didn't expect to have ved scenes here. Like it wasn't a serious SPG thing but it still has them! Yes, like not only once but many times haha. Well anyways, this drama won't let you down if you're looking for a light and giddy drama to watch. ♡♡♡

Yang Yang is back! And it's the first time for me watching him in a historical drama! Not to mention being paired up with her, a very "in-demand" actress as well, Zhao Lusi! THE PERFECT PAIRING! I was super excited upon learning about this drama, like wth these two together?! An OTP come true! Face card galore! Plus I love adventure/historical dramas so it's a super thumbs up! And guess what, it didn't fail me. I love it when there's a new "thing" in a drama--makes me wanna watch it til the end. And for me the wuxia + royalty here is a big check! They're like perfect for their roles. Just finished watching the whole 40 episodes tonight actually and I was super happy with the ending.. BUT then again, disappointed on how they didn't end up having kids! Like hello writer, what is wrong with you?! And to think that he has only 10 years to live.. why not give her something she can be with.. for her to still have a family even if he pass away. Like.. WHAT THE HECK LANG! I cried as well when the kid died.. yes, literal tears..

This drama is amazing, super love the costumes, cinematography, casts, effects, editing, and the actors. Super check! Yang yang is soooo handsome here. And not to mention the very beautiful Zhao Lusi! They're sooo perfect here! Kudos to the glam team! And omg it's my first time to see some formation during a war (see photo) and how they signal from the royalty commander to the general to the troupe. It was sooo dope! Okay, time to look for another drama worth watching!

Fuheng and Yingluo reunited! Omg I was super excited when I learned about this drama! A reunion explosive! Ahhh! My first C-drama couple finally had a happy ending that we've been deprived of from their previous drama *cries* This is the first drama where I discovered Xu Kai (The Yanxi Palace) and so I was really rooting for them til the end which gotten my heart broken into millions of pieces when she ended up with the "old" king!! Peace of mind finally here! My gahd huhu. I'm sooo happy. Just lack of kilig moments here (like I'm always bitin at inis sa pagpapakipot ng heroine) unlike from his previous drama I watched (if you read my previous entry) and more on cooking and palace dramas. Still a very good plot and production. The casts also and the foods, yummy!

Just waiting for the next Xu Kai dramas because they aren't released yet (clue: fantasy!!! yes, long hair Kai again omggg and adventure + a modern also which I know will melt me again for the intense PDA hahaha). I'm obsessed with Kai in long hair btw because here, his hair was always covered with his hat and it's not really pleasing and appealing. Good thing he's already oozing with charm and hotness haha. Kudos!!!

Amazing fantasy drama!!! I cannot. This is new to me so yeah! The main actors especially the hero are sooo good. French kiss for their acting especially the hero talaga Fan Chengcheng aka Adam Fan! I love him here talaga! And mind you, this is his first acting role! Yes, because he is an idol where I first discovered him! I salute such great actors.. every one I watched are all great ones and he just made my not-so-long list!

Plot wise, production, storyline, casts, animation affects, costumes, sets.. just wow! It's obvious this was a high-budgetted film and it's worth it! The downfall? No season 2! *cries* It was so cliff hanging since the ending still have something to look up for. They still have to battle the enemies and rescue their parents and the heroine still are to wake up and the main couple still are ro reunite! I demand a season 2!!! I really hope there will be one (but I highly doubt it after researching, huhu). But anyway, you won't regret watching this. I never got bored (tho there are cringy moments haha) and got to switch dramas (a sign I'm really engrossed with it). ♡♡♡

This is an okay drama. Nothing special for me. Didn't leave a mark in my being, haha. Typical story of romance taking place in historical times where revenge and fightings over power is evident. Still I was able to finish despite occasionally jumping to other dramas every other days. I was confused by the switching to the modern times at the later part tho. I don't really get it and I don't know if it fits the story but whatever. That's all for me to say..

This drama is a big thumbs up! Light, funny yet with a bit of romance.. it surely has no dead air for me. I never got bored but instead I want more! A girl who disguises as a boy in an imperial academy for men---it was obviously a cliché BUT it never felt that way to me because of the good writing and characters involved compared to the first two dramas I watched which were too cheesy for me (Real talk here). The characters and actors who played the part, omg.. like the three main male leads were all good-looking! Most especially the hero! **new crush alert!!! Hihi** He is sooo handsome omggg!!! (Another stalking moment if you know what I mean hihi) I love the how of their friendship slowly blossomed from being rivals (if that is the right term). But the school concept is what excites me more. And of course the strong brotherhood among them four, as in!!! It was sooo fun watching and laughing throughout this drama. Super recommended! ♡♡♡

💘 Untouchable Lovers

A powerhouse of casts *insert Fu Mei* ! OMG I can't! Honestly, I never had interest watching this drama when I first came across it, knowing about the main leads (Song Weilong and Guan Xiaotong) because I wasn't familiar with them before (this was a 2018 drama, hello?). But now after watching their other dramas, and after learning that even Xu Kai is part of it, NO WAY I WON'T WATCH THIS!

Okay so plot wise, it is honestly sakit sa ulo. Lol. The most perversed drama I watched so far. Not kidding though, after the first story (because this has two versions portrayed) which is very uggghhh and caused me a major headache, the second part I thought it would be better and less brutal. But I guessed wrong since as the story progresses, it got more and more gruesome! Kudos to the actors tho for playing their parts well and for looking pretty and handsome which lessened the agony I felt from the events haha. Funny thing though--Xu Kai got to be paired up with all the other female leads here (the other five! LOL) in a drama/movie. Well except for Lusi since he was the 2nd male lead there who failed to get her heart. Still it was so funny how they paired him up with the other four in such big dramas which I already watched!

Overall, it was fine. Not so fun and light (obviously) which forced me to watch other lighter dramas midway yet it's worth watching due to the actors ♡

🍀DANCE OF THE SKY EMPIRE

Don't judge the book by its cover. Another Xu Kai drama!!! I just love him, period. And he's super handsome here, ahh! He's super naughty and playful here which is a new side of him I enjoyed watching. It suits him being this quiet and well-mannered gentleman, and this mischievous and arrogant yet cool guy. Nakakakilig both!! Hihi.

And another quality drama to enjoy! Like the plot (with magical abilities and powerful clans with magic), I like it--it's kinda new and heartbreaking. I just don't like the part (SPOILER) where the Dragon Emperor hated his nephew just because he's half human. Like hello?! What did he do to you? Isn't he your kind too and the son of your sister, and was even fooled by them?! Like I was really expecting them to be reunited like the whole human-demon tribe as well. But no! Their clan hated them to the bones so even the dragon king couldn't even accept his nephew and will even dare to kill him if he wasn't stopped by the heroine! And with that (heroine nearing death and was forced to take shelter in the Forbidden World --if I'm remembering it right-- with Li Xian), I am so not happy at all! Like they are trapped in that world and won't ever experience happiness with their friends and their world! Where is the justice?! I want my super happy ending!! 🤧

Anyways, the Mu siblings are too good-looking and nice for their own good. I'm reeeeally happy they didn't die in the end. Like omg I just can't.. they didn't deserve it. Good thing they both lived after the writer of this story atrociously almost 'killed' them and almost gave me a heart attack! I still haven't recovered from the savage deaths of one of the couples from the previous drama I watched. My fragile heart can't handle anymore heartbreaks 🥺 Overall, I'm half satisfied. Would've been a 100/10 if I got the ending I wanted, but sadly no. But I really enjoyed this drama because of Xu Kai (of course the main reason why I watched this)!!! I hate the heroine tho, aside from the fact that she's not that great-looking and her acting is a bit lacking for me, she doesn't have a chemistry with my baby Kai. Ugh. Kbye.

Xu Kai binge-watch!! This drama is another level OMG!!! My heart huhu.. I cannot. Standing ovation for Xu Kai here for portraying two different characters with different personalities. This is the drama where you can see both his cold/serious side and the warm/fun side altogether. Like BEST ACTOR talaga! He's now my #1 favorite Chinese actor! ♡

Okay so story-wise, it was soooo heart-clenching like the whole sacrifice concept and reincarnation thing or doppelgangers--nakakabaliw. I just wanna C-R-Y, my chest felt so heavy while watching. I think this drama topped my list for the most heart-clenching one, followed by Eternal Love. The effects and cinematography are superb. The actors who played the roles also suits them. The evil traitor queen and Yuemi--so pretty btw--True Gods.. except the princess tho who looks older than her mother haha. And some familiar faces also appeared like the first Phoenix Queen and the apprentice of the heroine who I love both. And I love love love that they had a kid who also will become the Chief God someday like his mom. Makes me wanna look forward for season 2! Sana talaga may part 2! My heart will be so ready then.. ready to feel giddy and be torn again. Love love love it!!!

Xu Kai galore!!! This drama is soooo amazing! Like just from the start, it already captured my attention and the anticipation is building up from there. Romcom indeed, isn't corny and it was fun to watch. And there were lots of PDA mind you! Haha.. Xu Kai omggggg he kisses a lot here and he ain't shy about it! Asdfghjkl! The game itself was interesting. The computer competition themed I watched were all programing related so this game theme is new to me. The feels are the same tho, but this one has a different punch most especially with the romance concept, if you know what I mean.

Yang Yang baby again! ♡ And again, another amazing esports drama. Handsome leads are really the best for esports drama~actually for everything, haha! Less romance here but the storyline is very interesting~made me ditch the drama I was currently watching, yeah that level. The game was intense! I understand it more than the one in Falling Into Your Smile that looks like DOTA, which I never learned to play lol. I was sooo engrossed with the hero's progress from scratch to top in his game character. Amazing!!! Also the battles, wow.. super detailed. It was kinda bitin, like I was still anticipating their Pro-League battle with his new recruited friend. Where is the season 2?!!! Well according to my research, there is a season 2!!! But the release is yet to be announced due to the pandemic (so sad!!). Well, hoping there really is because the story is obviously far from over! The pros are preparing so much for his comeback. So thrilling!! For now, I will satisfy myself with Yang Yang's other dramas (yes stalker mode on again hahaha). ♡♡♡

🔥 DOULUO CONTINENT

AHHH MY BOY DID IT AGAIN!!! Xiao Zhan ikaw na talaga!!! This drama is so amazeeeng! Again I felt what I felt while watching my fave drama ever--THE UNTAMED!! The entire drama itself--the unique story line/concept, the effects and animation, costumes, the castings and yeah the whole production--JUST WOW! I might seem like exaggerating but I AM SO NOT! I'm just feeling intense from all the actions and twists, nakakaloka yung ending grabe--that ONE freaking revelation I did not even fathom. Like wth?? I will not spoil it here so you could go watch it yourself!

And like I mentioned--my baby Xiao Zhan did this film justice again! He really fits the wuxia-fantasy theme with all the fighting skills and wuxia magic thingy! Like the Soul Rings/Power/Master and even the Soul Beasts concepts.. it was a whole new world of surprises and adventures, oh my.. You really wouldn't be bored especially with the main lead's acting!! He really is my No. 1 favorite actor ever now. I will surely watch all his dramas (continue googling!!).

And oh.. SEASON 2??? Hell yeah! I cannot wait! Though this is based on an anime film, this drama is waaaay better written and produced. The anime version is so lame, I am telling you. I cannot even bear to watch the much awaited season 2 there because it is so uggghh annoying. I just wish it would be released like not in more than 2 years. Huhu. It would be a pain to wait too long. I hate waiting for a loong time especially when the last episode watched is super cliffhanger (Scarlet Heart, hello?).

But questions left hanging though.. which I'm hoping to be answered in the Season 2: 1) What happened to the Chief of Martial Soul Hall after Tan Hao fought with her? And her daughter too after hearing that it was her mother who killed her father? 2) Since Tang San is a son of a soul beast-turned human, is his blood different somehow from a pure human? What will happen to Du Gu Yan then since they got blood transfusion? 3) How many years later til Tang San and Xiao Wu will meet again? Will the castings change then?? Coz I bet it will be 'years' later since his father told her to toughen up first before they can be together again. 4) Will the Xuan Tian Records really help them in changing the Soul Master vs Soul Beast dilemma? And lastly, the most intriguing one.. 5) if a soul beast turned into human, then is she a pure human already?? Because at that scene in the Martial Soul Hall dungeon, Xiao Wu was able to go into the secret portal that only a soul beast aside from the chief and the creator can go in! Confusing, right?? QUESTIONSSS UGHHH!!!

So yeah, let's watch it together. Because I'mma watch it all over again (perhaps after a month or so when I already have an amnesia, lol).

I even watched (and finished lol) another chinese drama without even watching half of this one. That fact is a big blow really. Xiao Zhan just made me watch this drama anyways, and he wasn't the main lead. I don't like the leads that much, like their chemistry isn't much of a thing for me. No sparks? Not gonna finish watching anymore, I'm done. Lol. Sorry..

Another quality drama! Excellent casts, acting and production + cinematography + storyline.. like I said, QUALITY. Of course, I'm choosy when it comes to the dramas I watch nowadays. But the main reason why I watched this is because of my crush XU KAI 💖 Yes, he's my first Chinese actor crush from Yanxi Palace! Super handsome huhu. Anyways, he really fits the role in this drama as the son if the demon lord who eventually is a kind-hearted person like him. Yup, so ironic when we're so accustomed in having an 'evil-natured' character when dubbed as a 'demon lord' or a son of. Like yes, I was expecting that too in the beginning, but (spoiler) it turns out they hate the evil and was only given no choice by being born with a demon in his heart. Unfair, I know (which is kinda sad really) but hey what can we do, that was the main reason this drama even existed. Lol!

Anyways.... i love the heroine too! I was actually watching her other drama but I like her here more. Looks like her characters are all tough mamas! It suits her though. Sooo... yeah... i'm kinda leaning in Xu Kai's drama more so Imma look for them now haha! Bad habits die hard xD So go and watch this drama too for you to fall for him too! I don't mind sharing kasi haha..

Now the downfall.. the only couple who ended up together was the lead one. 🥲 i really wish they could've given the other couples a chance to be together. and the physician's sudden and unfair death was really uncalled for! like wth was that??? and Qin Qian Xian just turned into a butterfly without any warning after the praying thing?!!! i was enraged! i loved his character and yet they just made him into a butterfly without experiencing any romance 😭 i hate the endings for these lovely couples! boo huhu

💧NOVOLAND: PEARL OF THE ECLIPSE

Another drama that left a huge mark in my heart!!! This drama is everything! T.T

Lead by again the ever so talented lead actress from the Eternal Love and her so amazing lead actor--my gahd, I cannot express how touched I was with their chemistry! I was giddy and dying inside while watching.. i just cannot! The entire casts too, OMG, they are so perfect for the roles! There were lots of fighting scenes too, the bloods and wars, mygad. The martial arts were insane!

Aside from the characters, the cast, the production, costumes (which is superb btw).. I was captured the most by the strong and fresh plot--the mermaids and luminous pearls, the concept of Baixi who is the one who endures the pain, sickness and injuries inflicted on the King. The King and the male lead's friendship was like that of the leads of 'The Untamed'--it reminded me so much of that. It was unbreakable and so ughhhh. The King and his woman too OMG it was heart-breaking. I love the King! My heart ached and rejoiced.. it was a total roller coaster ride of emotions. It was crazy!! But we got our happy ending (kinda.. huhu) so yeah, it was a satisfying drama to watch--no pun intended. Must watch it, I am dead serious!!! GOOOO!!!

⚜ JUN JIU LING

Finally a historical drama where the heroine doesn't do martial arts! She's a badass strategist / very clever woman though. You cannot dare mess with her! And she is a princess! Shhh! Haha! Story behind me finding this drama is actually because of the heroine herself who starred the previous drama I just watched--Goodbye My Princess--which I will be (sadly) posting here next even though I really don't want to (sad ending that's why, hmp!). She is super pretty in that drama and super good in acting too that's why I wasn't able to help myself and looked for her other dramas which lead me (thank gahd) to this. Horrah!

Anyways, this drama is also so good! It piqued my interest at first since (spoiler alert) the princess who were thought was dead actually had a plastic surgery (LOL I know, this was the funny questionable part in this story haha) and woke up with the face of her mentor's daughter who sacrificed her life for her. Now using that face, she will seek for revenge. Crazy, I know! Anyways, I love the female lead's character and how she was a genius doctor who plotted revenge sooo smoothly for her and her father's death. She is sooo witty despite all the schemings and was able to outwit the perpetrators, girl ikaw na! It was really refreshing to have a non-martial artist female lead. She has her hero though. Of course! And their love story was also to dote on. It is always so satisfying having a lover who never gives up on his lover. (Sana all.. haha) Btw, she has four admirers here.. Sana all talaga, haha! So go and watch this drama now!

💮 GOODBYE MY PRINCESS

Genre: Romance Wuxia Historical

Rating: 7/10

A refreshing drama with a (for me) weak female lead. I mean she's naive and so childish. Oh yeah, she doesn't know martial arts too so that's really new (Oh yes, she also doesn't do martial arts in her other drama!). But then again, the love story here is super exhausting and dragging. Everytime something good happens between them, a hindrance will totally ruin it. And it is always so annoying! Like I was already having my hopes up but then boom! Goodbye princess. Lol. I'll give credits to the production though--costumes/makeup, cinematography, the casts.. all is superb actually except their ill-fated love and the deal-breaker ending. It was a doom waiting to take place and I hated to partake in it. Huhu. I hated the ending so so much.

So should I recommend this? I don't know, you be the judge :D

🔆 LEGEND OF FUYAO

Another genius masterpiece! Wow, 66 episodes?! How many days did I patiently finished watching this? Lol! It was an insane journey! Well, journey to the five kingdoms that is! I can't believe all if that happened, just wow. I was so speechless. I mean the plot is everything. It was a hell of a hella crazy plot. Amazing!

She has done it again! Ms. Heroine once again showed people how versatile of an actress she really is. Martial artist and being a wise woman who (always) disguise herself as a man for a reason or a mission. Seriously though, I just realized she really did disguised as a guy in all the 3 dramas of hers that I watched. Lol! She's really a tough one to defeat, a super talented actress. I love the male lead's character too.. super faithful to her to even risk his own life or justbdie with her. (Sana all talaga!) Anyways, great castings too! I couldn't think of a better male lead than the one here. I mean it's actually my first time to watch or even know him as an actor and yet I was hooked by how good he is and how fitted he is for the role. All of them are. Not to mention Zhan Bei Ye and Zong Yue! Just wow.. So what are you waiting for? ;)

Hey! Long time no write for me! So what's happening to me nowadays that makes me super occupied, aside from watching K-Dramas (ever since) and kpop (duh) ?

Watching CHINESE Dramas, of course! Lol.

Oh yesss! Now I am kinda taking a break from Korean dramas and are so engrossed with Chinese dramas from modern/romcom to (now my cup of coffee) historical/fantasy dramas. And when I say historical drama--those with extreme plots and major productions (seriously). And so without any further ado, here are the list of C-Dramas I was so thrilled to watch (like I binge-watched them for several days non-stop) and am sooo excited to recommend to you guys:

🔥 THE UNTAMED

Genre: Fantasy Wuxia Historical

Rating: 1000/10 ♡ (yeah it broke my scale lol)

OMGGG Like the best Chinese Drama ever!!! For now.. lol. Like seriously, up til now, I still haven't recovered from the hype and giddiness I experienced from watching this drama. I am super overwhelmed not only because of the well-rounded casts (I am so in-love with the main casts btw!!!), but because of the story line/ strong plot, the production, cinematography and makeup/costumes as well--everything! Like it was so different from any of the dramas I've watched so far--I was so hooked from the start to the end (and I even so want moreeee!!!).

So basically, the story revolves around the brotherhood of the two main leads (it was soo touching huhu) and the world of cultivators with all the mysteries and their tragic adventures. Wei Wuxian has more of a loud and happy-go-lucky personality who finds it hard to stick to the rules--which is actually the opposite of Lan Wangji's who are more of a quiet/serious and righteous kind. So yes, it was so fun watching the two of them as they slowly clicked and their amazing friendship bloomed after the personality clash. Wei Wuxian--having no choice--had to lean on the dark and demonic arts to survive. And so therefore Lan Wangji--being his best friend--tried his best to help him this time (after he resurrected) in the best he can even if it means turning his back to his so-called 'loyalty' to the rules and the 'righteousness' that the people around him keeps on pressing unto him. It was really heart-breaking, I cried. Seriously!!

And in terms of world-wide ratings.. well obviously, IT RANKED #1! It was really unforgettable that's why so far, this is the BEST Chinese Drama for me. I am so gonna cry.. again! 😭💖 Might watch it again very soon.. hihi!

🌸 ETERNAL LOVE

Genre: Fantasy Romance Wuxia

Rating: 10/10

Another top Chinese drama that is binge-watch worthy! Not only did this drama broke my heart a million times, it also made it errupt with joy after the two being united in the end. Oops! Spolier? Lol. What more can I say? This drama was everything! From the plot to the characters--I was entirely hooked from beginning to end.

The story took place in the celestial world of god and goddesses. Like they live for thousands of years and they oversee the four or more realms including mortal world. I super love the two main couples (such a strong set of actors btw) and their journey of love. The heroine of this drama made it impossible for me to forget her. Like this was the first time for me to actually watch her in a drama and she already made an impression that made me look up all of her other dramas and watch them next right away. Seriously! So expect more of her dramas on the list (and they are all SOOO GOOD too btw, like A-list kind of dramas too and I am not exaggerating!).

Well that is all for me to say. Just watch it so you would know what I mean. ^^

🖤 ASHES OF LOVE

Genre: Fantasy Romance Wuxia

This drama basically has the same concept as the Eternal love--celestial world and gods and goddesses. It's just that I watched this before the Eternal Love (and actually my very first ever fantasy drama) so I remember having that 'awed' moments while watching this. But thinking back now, I was more hooked in Eternal Love than this one. But it doesn't mean this is a downgrade--if you know what I mean. Just not a big fan of the heroine. I love the male lead though, he's one of my top 5 fave male actors. I even remembered gushing over him because he was sooo handsome.. haha! A must-watch drama indeed!

I love this drama! After watching loads of fantasy ones, I was like thrown into another world--a world of martial arts that is full of action and adventure--no boring moments on the fighting scenes, just agitations sometimes..lol! Honestly, the main reason why I found this drama is because of my crush from my top 1 drama 'The Untamed'--Wang Yibo. Like I looked for his dramas (like duh I always do that haha) and voila! XD A letdown for me is the heroine--like she was pretty and all, she fits the role.. but I just find her a bit lacking in terms of emotions and stuff. From episode 1, I was already hoping that she would eventually evolve into a more emotional kind of a character.. only to disappoint myself in the end. She kinda bores me here, sorry! Good thing the handsome male lead made me stick to the end as well as the plot and the production. This is a high-budgeted film anyways. Speaking of the male lead, I was taken aback seeing him with this kind of a bubbly personality here when he was soooo serious in the 'The Untamed'! He's so charming nonetheless. And oh! I like the whole mechanism thing in this film and the school where it originated (forgot what it was called). Kudos! ♡

Oh GG! ~SNSD Subunit

Okay, my previous post about this have just been deleted!!! And I am so pissed right now to think about everything I just wrote awhile ago. Anyways, all I wanna say is that the five-membered SNSD is okay with me since my three bias is still part of it---Yuri, Yoona and Taeyeon. 

So yes, I was just shocked upon knowing about their comeback as Oh GG and was even shook when I watched the MV like OH MY GG! Kagaga-GG talaga! hahaha.. Anyway, they all look like goddesses and I am so happy I wanna learn their dance which wasn’t showed as a whole. Okay, enough with the chitchat and here are their released photos and the gorgeous and marvelous MV! 😍

YURI’s first Mini Album “The First Scene” 💖

YAAASSS! Finally my bias, bae, love of my life, MY QUEEN has finally debuted solo! OMG I can’t still believe it like she’s like my very first bias in K-pop ever and now I am so proud of her for finally releasing her own album and owning the stage for her own and she slayed every show! You see, Yuri isn’t the best singer in her group but she’s one of the main dancers. When it comes to singing, she was one with the least parts given like always.  But I understand since of course a good track comes with great vocals. There are some members who really are better than her vocally. 

BUT HECK, she just showed everyone that she’s not only a great dancer but also a great singer. That she is a total package and can level up with Taeyeon unnie hihihi.. Sorry though but I’m not a Tiffany fan so yeah hahaha. Anyway, I even ordered her album which will arrive this end of the month. It takes a month for the shipment to arrive here from Korea so yeah, patience is a virtue. I know that it will be worth it though. I’M SO EXCITED THOUGH I CAN’T WAIT!!!!

About the album.. IT’S SO AMAZING! Like the ‘Into You’, so sexy and dreamy plus the choreo is so lit! I even learned the dance because it’s just so catchy I can’t help it most especially it’s Yuri who’s dancing! Hahaha.. The side tracks as well.. I was like.. Oh my.. I can’t believe it’s my Yuri who’s singing these. I fell in-love again and again. I HOPE THERE’S A SECOND ALBUM!!!! *praying*
