We haven’t had rain for MONTHS to the point of it being a drought so the stake fasted for rain today

Flash forward to an hour ago when, out of nowhere, it started POURING. And I mean pouring. And it hasn’t stopped for over an hour now

So thank you Heavenly Father for the rain it was deeply needed

Oh and imagine my surprise when one of the elders starts crying while talking about Her and then also talks about the gift of weeping and to never be ashamed of crying (one of the advisors had cried during her sacrament talk and apologized for it)

The missionaries taught YW today due to nobody being scheduled to teach and no presidency member being at church and I had no high hopes because A. Neither of them are particularly friendly/fun and B. Marriage lesson

So naturally we end up on the family proclamation after a (surprisingly non judgemental) discussion about marriage. I was dreading where they were surely going.

And then.

To my great surprise.

They have me read the second paragraph and proceed to talk about Heavenly Mother for the rest of the lesson.

My expectations were exceeded
