fr, like my favorite moment of this was when Gardar showed up for the first time. Like, Einar had so many reasons to dislike him from the start, but the second he learns that he’s trying to free Arnheid, he doesn’t ask any questions or even context, he just gets up in arms ready to help them escape. He’s even willing to go up against Snake, who he’s decently friendly with, just so that Arnheid can potentially get her freedom. idk how to phrase it, but I feel like if he had been written by anyone else, he would’ve been much more antagonistic towards Gardar (maybe even jealous) and would’ve tried to stop him to “protect” Arnheid, but no, he recognizes that he’s there to help her and Einar is willing to risk his life to assist, even if it means that he’ll likely never see Arnheid again. It just shows that Einar doesn’t love Arnheid just because he wants to be with her, but because he truly cares for her and just wants her to be happy. A genuine nice guy

Why don’t we as a collective ever talk about how Einar is such a green flag

Season 2 of Vinland Saga has been everything I could have wished for. I’ve written before about my thoughts of season 1, and everything still stands but more so. Every frame of the show has been so beautiful and cinematic in a way that anime just doesn’t get the chance to be now days. I really get the sense that each episode’s directors are really enjoying the opportunity to be artistic and cinematic. It’s hard to put into words all the ways the show has touched me, so I tried to convey it in this painting
