It's really end... or is it the beginning?
Greetings mythmakers, storytellers and daydreamers!
It's Mythospeaker here and we just finished out fourth week of the CVAP program.
It's at this point in time that it is finally dawning on me that I've already reached the end of the month of May! And to think, I had started this VA journey 4 weeks ago, and now the training is finally reaching it's conclusion. Though to remind us that this wasn't where the journey ended, our mentor had actually dedicated the morning session into discussing what came after the training. And oh boy, there was a lot that came after!
We had discussed in-depth about how to start applying and auditioning for VA roles and that all begins with a demo reel. I'm actually quite nervous as to what I should include in my own demo reel, but let's see what I can produce :D
We also touched up on other important topics, including the importance of a well crafted VA resume and a well-defined and thorough VA contract. Hopefully, I'll be able to apply these learnings once I do get my first voice acting gig!
There were a few workshops and training that our mentor had suggested that really caught my eye and I might just try looking into them. I guess wherever you go, the learning process never really ends. I do hope though that through all these trainings and workshops; it eventually will lead to a culmination of all my progress and growth as a voice artist.
Lastly, we also have a batch recital coming up and auditions are under way! I won't be spoiling too much about what the recital is about but a hint: It's apples related. Apples of the poisoned kind :P
We still have a to of assignments to submit and as usual if you would like to listen to my vocal outputs, please visit me at https://soundcloud.com/mythospeakerva?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing and on Tiktok @mythospeaker . I really hope you enjoy them!
As always, stay safe and keep on telling your stories!

ANOTHER PRODUCTIVE WEEK!
Greetings mythmakers, storytellers and daydreamers!
It's Mythospeaker here and this is my post for the third week of our Certified Voice Artist Program training sessions.
I cannot believe it's been nearly 3 weeks since I started this journey into becoming a certified voice artist. It certainly hasn't been without it's fair share of struggles, but I can safely say that all that I've learned and experienced have been more than worth it :D
Well for this week's topic, we had discussed about some interesting topics such as voice care which was helpful in it's own way. Although, If I'm being honest, the toughest part of the voice care was drinking water at room temperature. I'm the kind of guy that loves to drink water as really. really cold temperature. And given the current hot and unbearable weather, you can't blame me for enjoying a tall cool glass of water. But I do understand why it needs to be at room temperature. I guess there really must be a bit of sacrifice to ensuring that my voice stays in tip top shape for my vocal outputs.
During the afternoon session, we really had a blast. Our speaker had us voice a bunch of different characters from "The Digital Circus". This is in itself was super fun to do! Although we had to do it Tagalog, I really had a lot of fun hearing other try to voice these zany and wacky characters. I myself had to try and dub Gangle. and I know what you were thinking, but our speaker said I did my best so that's what counts :D. The dubbing session really caught my attention since it's fairly similar to how people voice characters in animated series or video games.
I'm pretty hyped up for the assignments for this week as we have to submit several recordings of us trying to recite a bunch of tongue twisters both in English and Tagalog. I can already feel my throat aching just at the thought of all the repetitions I'll have to do. Please wish me the best and if you're interested in the output please come hear them at https://soundcloud.com/mythospeakerva?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharing and on Tiktok @mythospeaker . I really hope you enjoy them!

The work begins
Greetings mythmakers, storytellers and daydreamers!
It's Mythospeaker here and this is my post for the second week of our Certified Voice Artist Program training sessions.
So during our second sessions we really delved into the meat and potatoes of the voice acting profession. We learned about how to do voice overs and character voices and it was pretty daunting to tell you the truth. In the past, I tend to imagine voicing things and thinking that I'd be able to perfectly voice ads and other characters. I must have such a vivid imagination, because actually doing those voices and hearing myself makes me cringe to high heaven. Like seriously? Me and my darn imagination XD. But in all honesty, If I've learned anything from this week's session, it's that I have to learn to love my own voice and keep on working on it to make great vocal outputs. It might not match the level of professionalism that other's have, but I have to keep reminding myself to keep on developing and improving. One day I'll get there :D.
We've been assigned to several assignments that require vocal recordings such as Ads and Voiceovers and I'm excited to share those with all of you guys. If you're interested feel free to listen to them on Tiktok @mythospeaker and on Souncloud at MythospeakerVA. They aren't ready yet, but they should be soon.
Hopefully you guys love them!
As always, stay safe and keep on telling your stories!

The start of my voice acting journey.... We have a long road ahead
Greetings mythmakers, storytellers and daydreamers!
It's Mythospeaker and this is officially my first post ever here on Tumblr as a soon to be certified voice artist.
I've never done anything like this before so hopefully everything turns out well :D
To start this post off, I might as well introduce to you my brand as an aspiring Voice Artist. The Mythospeaker comes from, obviously, both the words "Myth" and " Speaker". It literally means "speaker of myths". Basically, I just really want to be able to use my voice to tell other people's stories. Everyone has a story inside of them, but not everyone has the same access to creative mediums to be able to share that story. Fortunately, we have a plethora of mediums available, but one medium that still gets quite pricey would be voice acting. I want to be able to put my voice out there and let others use it for their own stories. To plug in my own motto, "Fiat Mihi Tox Vua" or "Let my voice be yours".
This first session at CVAP has taught us many things, but out of all of it, the program's genuine spirit of volunteerism has really touched my heart and I truly want to be able to that for other creative artists as well.
We're starting out on a bunch of assignments and making a brand name and logo was one of them. I've shaped the Mythospeaker and I'm thinking of sticking with it. All that's the left is the brand logo and hopefully in a few days I will be able to share that logo with all of you. (Please be patient and kind as I am not a good drawer :P)
I pray everything goes smoothly and that I learn more during our following training sessions.
Wish me luck and keep on telling your stories!
