Joyetech Atopack Dolphin Kit

Joyetech has just launched a new version of the Penguin. The Atopack Dolphin keeps the technology and main features of the Penguin. The shape of this stylish pod mod resembles a Dolphin but do you want to know the differences between these two animals of the vaping ocean?

1. New vertical lights

The Joyetech Atopack Dolphin Kit has the battery light indicators right under the USB port. In the Penguin, these lights were located under the fire button in a horizontal position. Joyetech also changed that by making them vertical. Not a big deal because the battery lights indicators look sweet in both positions and both pod mods.

2. Different filling method

Unlike the Penguin, the Atopack Dolphin Kit has a hidden lid to refill the tank, which is great! I found this innovation very handy, with the previous product you had to take the coil off first and then fill it up. That was a bit messy so I’m glad Joyetech found a better alternative for refilling the cartridge without removing the coil and, more importantly, that adapts to any kind of juice bottle.

3. Smaller tank capacity & transparent cartridge

The Joyetech Atopack Dolphin Starter Kit has a transparent cartridge which easily allows you to see the liquid inside. This is a nice feature as you are always able to check the juice level and refill it before it is too late and you get a dry hit! If the e-liquid capacity of the Penguin was 2 ml (TPD version) and 8.8 ml, the Dolphin tank capacity is slightly smaller at 2 and 6ml. The size of the Dolphin is a bit smaller than the Penguin so the designers at Joyetech had to sacrifice some e-liquid capacity. But 6ml is still plenty!

4. Smaller dimensions with a bigger fire button

The Penguin was already a light and compact device perfect for on the go measuring at 103mm in height, 27mm in width and 52mm in depth. Joyetech made the new Dolphin even smaller and rounder. Compact size & stylish design is what most of us want. Isn’t it?

5. Bigger battery capacity

The smaller size was not a problem for Joyetech to increase the tank capacity. If the Penguin had a 2000mAh built-in battery, the Penguin has a slightly higher capacity at 2100mAh. Not a big difference, but who doesn’t like a bit more battery life?

6. New coils for MTL vapers

The Penguin had 2 different coil options: 0.25 and 0.6 ohms. Joyetech developed a new JVIC coil for those vapers who prefer a very restrictive draw for MTL. The new JVIC coil is included in the full kit and is reading at 1.2 ohms. This coil is compatible with the previous Penguin. Coming up with a nice coil for MTL is another big pro for the Dolphin as MTL vapers are often ignored even though we all started there!
