Not Just Another Fairy Tale

Muse A is a princess who’s been living in a faraway tower for most of her life. She knows that one day a brave knight will arrive to rescue her, that he will ask her hand in marriage, and they will live happily ever after. Yet, a fierce dragon guards the castle and has killed every knight that’s dared to even approach the castle that houses the princess. 

Everyone pities the princess, imagining it to be a terribly lonely life for her, but no one is aware that she has found true love. Every night, the dragon becomes a handsome young man, who has fallen deeply, deeply in love with the princess. The dragon is not a vicious creature who can only kill, but a man protecting a woman so no other man can take her away. When he is injured in battle, the princess tends to his wounds and when he is well, they stroll the gardens at dusk. They lead a happy life together, and the dragon never wants to let the princess go. One day, the princess receives a letter via a carrier pigeon informing her that her mother has died and her father is sick and dying with grief. The kingdom will fall into chaos without a ruler, and many knights plan to bombard the castle in order to rescue her.  In order to save the kingdom, the princess must be rescued, but in order for that to happen, the dragon must be slain. The princess cannot abandon her kingdom, and the dragon cannot take on a horde of knights who are seeking to be the new king. Will the dragon sacrifice himself to save the kingdom or will he die protecting the castle and princess he loves?

The Pureblood silently let his love trace her fingers over his face, taking in the feeling and relishing in it for the moment. Simple, innocent moments and touches like this were what he looked forward to. It nearly made him completely forget the ach that had always been there, deep within his heart for all these years. At her words head opened his eyes and looked at her, a small smile coming to his face.

"My dear Yuuki, how could I ever prove to deserve one with a heart like yours?"

“Yuuki…” Kaname whispered, closing his eyes with a slight sigh; though it was more in contentment of the situation than anything else. “Are you really content in living like this? In the restricted life of a Pureblood?”

There were times when he doubted that she was, not because he didn’t believe a large part of her loved him. But because he could hardly believe that a spirit like her was okay with being confined like this, even as a child she hadn’t seemed like she would be alright with living the confined life that those like them would have to endure.

HER fingers traced the latter’s face: his eyes, his nose, and his lips. She looked seriously at the latter. Her  significant other was hard to read, as at times it felt like when she needed him, her was too far away, yet when times seemed or felt inappropriate, he was always around, however at that moment, nothing matter, but with the fact that he was with her. It was this  moment that mattered to her.
