despite how much he reminds people of roger, luffy's flag is planted at fishman island and he declared momonosuke his little brother. he's taken on the role of whitebeard as an emperor in the new world, who claimed fishman island as his territory and called kozuki oden his little brother...

i know shanks has been on the luffy hype train for the last 12 years (INCREDIBLY cute how he's been yapping nonstop about that kid to rayleigh and gaban btw), but it's so funny to think of marco dropping in on the red force and going 'hey you and ace were right, luffy's pretty cool' and shanks gets so excited like right? right? i've been telling you! and marco goes 'he's a lot like pops!' and shanks has to be like wait wait no what he obviously takes after roger??

marco hitching a ride on the red force to share info with shanks, aka gossiping about kaido & linlin & luffy and shanks is getting the WHOLE rundown on the straw hat crew from one of the most experienced pirates on the grand line, which means he's getting way better intel about luffy & co than pretty much any other org on the planet..

One of my absolute favorite Law scenes is when he decides to do Corazon a favor in return for not telling his brother about the incident with the murder attempt...

Partly because it's a great callback and turning point narratively but mostly because Law acts like a little demon child, hiding under stairs and giggling like some cursed horror movie doll while innocently skipping his way out of the scene. Amazing voice acting performance there.

He also gives the exact same vibe as Punk Hazard Law greeting the Marines, including the 'return the favor'-mentality he keeps up with Smoker. All in all a perfect little scene 💗 (episode 703)
