I'm back at it again with my shitty rendering style

I finally had the energy to rub my two brain cells together to do some serious worldbuilding for my au.

Apparently, my brain is only happy when I have my hyperfixations together in one place 😭. This drawing took a collective 30 hours separated into tree different canvases... I'm tired 🫠

My rendering style is a little scuffed, so sorry 😭. This took 11 hours, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out

and because he's a behemoth here are his mating season colors

yeah i was too tired and lazy to design his clothes, i'll do that later

I know hes off model for being a sea yautja but thats ok... i didnt have the energy to care by the time i finished this ref. (also he does have different colors for the maying season, but he just turns pale because his mother was heavily white diluted.)

i'll draw them in clothes at some point but it wont be today...

Oh, and before i forget

this pain in my ass, i love her so much. im working on her mate as well but hes taking longer than i would like, i was originally going to post them together.

im much happier with her ref then the other two, i was just try to get them done frfr

I've fucked around and make more subspecies. (there's only two so its not too bad) One of which is something I've promised myself not to make, but the temptation was too great 😭

Yeah... i didn't really want to make flying yautja (yes i did) but it happened anyway 😔. Well its too late, now they exist and theres nothing i can do about it.

The only way i could justify their existence is, they're related the mandrill. Dont worry, normal yautja see them as an abomination (as they should and would) Their body plan is bound to change at least a little since I didn't put my spec-evo brain into design her

Your yautja subspecies are so unbelievably cool, I love the designs and the general biology around them sm!! The behemoth subspecies is my personal favorite, the idea of in-universe humans realizing there’s even BIGGER yautja is very funny to me

Hi Nova!

I am developing the lore for my mangrove sea yautja clan and I have so many questions!!

What kind of clothing do they have? Do they even use clothes?

Do they have/use technology and in that case, is it as advanced as the “regular” yautja species?

Do they use houses/buildings/dens etc(you get it) etc…?

Are their hunting culture similar to the regular yautja? Do they have chivas?

Sorry if I overwhelm you with the questions, I am just so curious >w<

They do have clothes but for the most part they dont wear it often. Its usually mad of latex or rubber(like a diving suit) or wovrn reeds or other decent plant materials. and for accessories its basically the same as any other Yautja species.

Their technology is the same really, maybe a little more advanced. 😭

They have homes too, but how their homes are constructed differ between locations. Some have normal home/den, some build the near water and have an opening to dive directly into the ocean (or whatever body of water nearby 😭). Or my favorite, dens that are basically diving bells. Some clans are on clan ships too.

And yes they have a chiva. And if the clan is they type to leave the newborns in an unprotected lake or pool, the trials start early. Not all clans leave the young ones just out in the wild so its up to you if you do that. But the actual chiva it's is pretty standard.
