We Did It... Again!

After clearing EX1 and EX2 until the lot of us got the wings, we FINALLY got past ice phase and beat EX3! No sign of the wings yet though... but I did get the RDM weapon!

Gettin' Things Done!

I've never really experienced Eureka or Bozja as I didn't start playing until mid-to-late Shadowbringers. In preparation for Dawntrail's version, I asked a friend to teach me the mysterious ways of Eureka. So far, we've cleared Anemos!

Glamours: Autumn Basics

So, technically the theme for our map night was "Basic Autumn White Girl" but that doesn't roll off the tongue as well as this title does. Anyways, I skipped the Uggs because I'm from Colorado, and here we wear boots! (and... Uggs...)

Both Lalli and I don't do pumpkin spice like... at all. That's apple cinnamon tea! *nodnodnodnod*

While our PLD barely understood the assignment (it's okay, we love him and his shield anyways :D), two of us were riding the same braincell, while I'm kicking myself for forgetting the Gridania background.

But hey! Two final rooms, and my wifey either getting raptured, or gettin' ready to destroy us all!

Map Night: Gothic Fun

It was a small map night, but it was a fun map night. Goth is one of my favorite styles, especially for Lalli.

Glamours: Goth

Our upcoming map night theme is "Goth." I've been saving any NieR piece I get because I am awful at those raids and try not to go out of my way to do them. I finally had enough of the pieces to cover most of my favored classes, so I figured they'd be perfect for a goth map night! That and I don't think too many of the others will be wearing them.

Not gonna lie, but these sets make her... assets... look amazing.

Level 100: Ranged

Okay so... I actually got all of Lalli's ranged jobs up to 100 before I did the tanks, but I loved the GNB's artifact armor so much I decided to do those jobs first. Anyways, here's to Level 100 Ranged! I honestly can't pick which one I like the most, because I love them all... but I think MCH might be poking out a bit ahead of the others this expansion. (But damn, does the DNC armor look AMAZING.)

Level 100: Tanks

Z'itlalli has mastered all tanks to level 100! Warrior is still my go-to, but I've been having a lot of fun getting better at Gunbreaker. When it comes to PvP, Paladin is more my flavor. Stun those damn Dark Knights. I really, really like Dark Knight, but man am I so, so bad at it. Ah well, maybe by level 110? Some more action shots down below! I may or may not be learning how to use Anamnesis.

Our First Extreme!

So, I've only been playing since the tail end of Shadowbringers, and didn't get all of my jobs to max until the tail end of Endwalker. That means that this would be my first expansion where I feel like I'm beginning ahead, rather than playing a bit of catch up. That being said, I cleared my first Extreme Trial (at level) with my FC and some friends! Even won the coffer and got the weapon!

Congratulations, HR Nightmare and Friends! We're part of the cool kids now!

Level 100: Casters

Got all of Lalli's caster jobs to Level 100! RDM is still my favorite, but PCT is extremely fun... even if I'm not great at it. SMN is fun, but not as satisfying as RDM, and well... Lalli and I are both still garbage at BLM. (No offense SMN/BLM mains. I appreciate ya'll and the work you do! <3) Below are just some fun action shots I took.

The fact that G’raha speaks about the fact that he actively grieves for the warrior of light he knew, despite you, the same person, sitting across from him in that gondola, is so absolutely soul shattering.

G’raha Tia woke up from a hundreds of years long nap to a destroyed world finding out not only that you had died, but that you had died long before your time due to a world ending deadly chemical weapon that nobody could’ve predicted would be launched. He spends years researching the reflections and the rejoinings to pinpoint the exact moment that the calamity of light happened on the first reflection to transport himself there to stop it. Merging his own soul and body with the Crystal Tower to gain enough power to transport through time and space to stop the fall of the first.

A whole century of fighting a losing battle G’raha, the Crystal Exarch, realizes the only person who can win this war is You. The Warrior of Light. G’raha builds a city for you. Saves the lives of a thriving community for you. Summons you (and inadvertently all of your friends) to the home he built for you so you can save the world. And save yourself. All while operating under the guise that he will kill himself in order to do it. And he almost does, but you stop him. You save him and bring him home back to the source to make good on a promise that you will go on an adventure together.

G’raha Tia wakes up from a nebulous amount of time passed nap to see You. But not the you he remembers, but the you He remembers. The you that survived and not the you that died. Two conflicting parts of his memory celebrating and grieving the loss of someone standing right in front of him. So close to touch but a walking ghost that he can’t.

He misses you. You’re right there. He mourns your death still after over a century. You are alive and sitting right across from him. You smile at him. He smiles back.
