I am loving ‘House of David’ now on Amazon Prime. This scene of David singing for King Saul for the first time was so good.

Saul is in the midst of his madness cycles after being rejected by God as king. It’s brutal and beautiful to see how they are unfolding this storyline. There’s no word captions in the episode so I didn’t fully realize how the words of psalm 30 were the actual impact of the scene. This is an original song performed by Michael Iskander, who plays the character of David in the series. So good!

House of David has as special advisor (Dallas Jenkins of “The Chosen”) but is also spearheaded by two other voices in the faith-based film industry: Jon Erwin (“I Can Only Imagine”) and Jon Gunn (“The Unbreakable Boy”), as part of Erwin's new independent studio The Wonder Project.
