The village of Kamikatsu in Japan has taken their commitment to sustainability to a new level. While the rest of the country has a recycling rate of around 20 percent, Kamikatsu surpasses its neighbors with a staggering 80 percent. After becoming aware of the dangers of carbon monoxide associated with burning garbage, the town instated the Zero Waste Declaration with the goal of being completely waste-free by 2020.

For celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Coconut sable”, the band made its debut from Sony Music Labels.“五五七二三二〇(go go nana ni san ni rei) ” plays the massive heavy music and has high performance skills that far exceeds the level of junior high school students. On the previous single, “半世紀優等生(Half a Century Honor student) ”, the girls band formed anomalously by 5 guitarists & 3 drummers was performing a dignified style of rock music. On their 2nd single, ”ポンパラ ペコルナ パピヨッタ(pronounce: “POMPARA PEKOLUNA PAPIYOTTA”)”, Yoko Kanno played a role of the composer inviting magnificent members of KenKen(RIZE), Hideki Aoyama and Tsuneo Imahori as the backing band. While the performance was basically organized as a traditional chorus style, the complete work looked like an experiment with a combination of its hard-rock performance.

あなたは、「ロボット」と聞いて何を思い浮かべるでしょうか。  日本のビジネスピープルに「あなたの憧れだったロボットは？」と聞いてみると、「鉄腕アトム」や「鉄人28号」「マジンガーＺ」…といった答えが返ってきます。いずれも悪者をやっつけてくれる正義の味方の人型ロボットです。  でも、多くの米国人は、ロボットと聞いて、具体的な人型ロボットをイメージすることはありません。私もそうです。ロボットとは、ソフトウェアからできたシステムだと考えるからです。  私が危惧しているのは、日本におけるロボット開発において、「ロボットは人型をしているべき」という思い込みがハンディにならないかということです。  もちろん、人の格好をしていたほうが親しみやすいし、生活に馴染みやすいかもしれません。でも、完ぺきなパートナーとして働くヒューマノイドを完成させるにはまだまだ時間がかかるでしょう。そうではなく、人型ということにこだわらず、今使える技術をシステム化して何ができるのかを思考することが重要なのです。  わかりやすい例を挙げてみましょう。  飛行機を自動操縦するにはどうすればいいかを考えるとき、日本人は往々にして、アームのような機械で操縦桿を緻密に操作するメカトロニクスの技術を追求しようとします。つまり、まず腕を作り、その腕が操縦して飛行機を飛ばすという発想です。  一方、米国のベンチャー企業は、センサーがいくつも付いたキャップのようなものを人の頭にかぶせ、脳波（思考力）で直接、飛行機を飛ばすシステムを開発しています。  その脳波をＦ-35戦闘機のシミュレーターにつないだ実験を行った結果、操縦桿を動かすだけでなく、機体の角度までコントロールできたそうです。  戦闘機専門のパイロットが最新型のＦ-35の操縦を習得するのには、およそ半年かかるのですが、この装置ではわずか4時間で飛ばせるようになったといいます。これはちょっとスゴイと思いませんか。  要するに私が言いたいのは、固定概念が邪魔すると、本来の目的を見失ってしまうということ。操縦する腕を作ること自体が目的になってしまい、飛行機を飛ばすところまで行き着かないのではないか、ということです。  海外のベンチャー企業では、飛行機の操縦と同じように脳波（思考力）で文字を書く実験も行っていて、キーボードを打つよりも格段に早く文字を入力することができるそうです。残念ながら、こうした柔軟な発想という部分では、日本はワンサイクル、ワンフェーズが遅れているという印象です。

そもそもハッピーエンドとは嘘臭いものである、とバッドエンド症候群の虚淵玄は語る。 氏曰く 「物事は何もしなければ総じて悪くなっていく。どう転んだところで宇宙が冷えて行くのは止められない、”理に適った展開”だけで積み上げられた世界はどうあってもエントロピーの支配から逃れられない」 「故に物語にハッピーエンドをもたらすには条理をねじ曲げ、黒を白と言い、宇宙の法則に逆境する途方もない力を要求する。そこまでして人間讃歌を謌い上げる高貴な魂があってこそ物語を救済出来るのだ」 とのこと 　 確かに現実はそんなに甘くなく「こんな上手くいくわけねーよ！」と言ってしまえばその通りである。 だが、だからこそ人はハッピーエンドを望むのではないか、と筆者は考える。 あの「水戸黄門」だって、ご都合主義だの予定調和だの言われながら、未だに根強い支持を受けているじゃないか ほら、某病弱娘さんは「物語の中でくらいハッピーエンドがみたいじゃないですか」って言ってたし 原作の悲劇を覆し、救えなかった者を救うというif展開こそが醍醐味という某ロボット大戦なゲームだってある 「だからこそ現実にしたいじゃない、本当は綺麗事がいいんだもん」とサムズアップの似合う冒険家も言っている。なんか違うか？ なお、ある作家曰く 「一流のハッピーエンドを描くのは一流のバッドエンドを描くことの数倍難しい」とのこと。 実際、あるアニメ作品のノベライズでアニメの悲劇を覆した事を作者は後書きで 「一流の悲劇よりも三流の喜劇を選んだ」 と語る。
