The finale edited and cut.

According to TVLine ; in the last scene of the unexpected finale, there was a hint of the big arc of season 4 if it had been renewed, but that scene was edited out. The scene teased ‘a new killer who preys on the unhoused with a hand scythe/sickle…’

So there actually was a cliffhanger, but it wasn’t about a character. It was about a whole new arc. I think we all expected the finale to leave us with a cliffhanger, and we were right.

Paula Newsome talked about the finale.

Paula Newsome gave an interview to TV Insider. She talked about the finale, Max's relationship with Josh, Josh’s possible romance with Allie, how Max would take it and playing Max again. Here are some excerpts of the interview.👇🏻

-> On her reaction to the unexpected cancellation:

First of all, it was a surprise. I’m not going to lie. We had such amazing ratings and people were really in love with the show. Business is what business is sometimes, and sometimes, the ball doesn’t bounce your way.

-> On Max and Josh’s relationship:

Trust is a weird word. He did some stuff to the man who was responsible for his mother’s death, right? That’s a lot. We are used to investigating those people. So yeah, trust was a big part of it. Not knowing whether he’s going to go off again. It’s like that family member that you love, but that you’ve got stuff that comes up with him.

-> On how Max would take Josh and Allie’s relationship:

She wouldn’t like it. [Laughs] I mean, truly, how do you do that? You know what I’m saying? They always talk about a lawyer who represents himself has a dummy for a client. So how do you separate your heart and your head? But that’s just more grease for the mill in the land of CSI: Vegas.

-> On whether she’d like to play Max again:

Hell yeah. I love this woman and it’s not gone yet. Gotta hold out hope. But I would return back to Max anytime.

Mandeep Dhillon talked about Allie’s development.

Mandeep Dhillon gave an interview to CBR. She talked about Allie’s character development and her potential romance with Josh. Here are some excerpts of the interview.👇🏻

-> On her thoughts about Allie’s promotion:

It was really fun. I mean, I loved seeing a different side of the character, and having to step into that role, I think it really suited her. I think that she was always made to step up and do that role.

-> On Season 3, Episode 4:

Out of all the episodes so far, that was my favorite, because I was able to really go there. Being by myself, I didn't mind. What was quite nice was, because [Allie] is just down in a basement by herself and there's not so much science or having to be expositional, I was able to really get into her mind and into that space.

The actor who they hired to play the cannibal was amazing, so we had so much fun being able to play off each other. But what was really fun as well was speaking to the director [Stephanie Marquardt], and her allowing me to choose where I wanted to be or what did I want to do. Being able to collaborate with her to say, "I think that she'd be sitting here," or "I think that she'd be there," or "I think this is where she'd be at right now." It was really a fun, collaborative experience.

-> On the relationship between Allie and Josh:

It did change a bit. I think when Allie gets promoted, it's tricky for her with Josh. Obviously, they've got that great bond and they're really good friends, and she wants him to do well in life. But she's very aware that she is his boss now, so the power dynamic sort of shifts a little bit. It's completely different to how we ended Season 2 -- but beneath it all, she's got his back and she'll always have his back.

I know what we filmed for Episode 10, but I also don't know what's made the edit... There's one scene that I think the fans will be a little bit satisfied with if they ship them, but I also don't know if they would've kept that in or not. Me and Matt [Lauria], on the day, were just improvising this little scene between us, which was quite fun.

If the scene she's talking about isn't the one where Allie rests her hand on Josh's shoulder and they're lost in each other's gaze and Serena sees them, you know what it means. We were deprived of a good Ransom scene. Whatever it was, we The Ransom Nation deserved that scene.

CSI: Vegas scored its 2nd highest rating with its unexpected finale.

“With its unplanned series finale on Sunday night, the procedural rose 16% in audience to deliver a 4.8 million total viewers, its second-largest audience ever.” —TVLine

CBS, which attributed the show's cancellation to low ratings and to make room for new productions, has debunked its own thesis. The show's ratings had been steadily increasing over the last few weeks and peaked in the finale, although it was unplanned and there were scenes that were edited out.

We proved to CBS that they made a big mistake, but I don't know if they'll wise up.

Let me tell you, May 19th is cursed. (though it’s The Youth Day here)

I remember last year today, I woke up into a L&O universe disaster. We lost Muncy and Whelan all of a sudden. Their exits were so unexpected and sloppy written that I couldn’t even believe.

And this year, I’m losing CSI: Vegas on the same exact day… I thought my curse was that none of my favorite shows or characters lasted long, but I guess today is cursed too.

At least Mandeep’s debut single is going to be in the finale episode. Let us rejoice us with this ❤️‍🩹

Okay I just woke up into another chaos and I need answers WTH IS GOING ON ARE YOU SERIOUS SVU?? 

I've been crying since I woke up and I'll keep crying for some more time. Did Muncy actually leave? And your reason is that fans hated her?? Fans just started to like her!! Have you seen the hate for churlish? And what will happen to my dear veluncy 😭 I was expecting them to end up together. How could they do this to us? At the end of the day, all the bensler fans are happy... but we'll never get more scenes of our ship again. I'm sooo mad and sad at the same time. Veluncy was the only reason I kept watching svu but now I'm done with it. I didn't even watch the episode. And frankly, I'm not planning to watch it bc I know I'll cry AGAIN. The only thing they care about is bensler... I think bensler was Dick Wolf's tactic to keep fans hooked on the show for years. I thought that the fans would get what they wanted in the season finale and that veluncy would be paved the way. We didn't deserve this ending... I won’t believe it until Molly explains. I want muncy back! I want my veluncy back 🥺

And the terrible things don't stop there. Whelan's dead? Is he really? I can't get over how they write terrible endings to all my favorite characters. Duarte, Whelan and now Muncy... Whelan didn't deserve such an ending and so much hate. Most of the fans have so much hatred for the new characters and don't give them a chance. Then they say they're glad they're leaving and it drives me crazy. I think we would all be happy if a separate series for the bensler and a separate series for the side characters 🫠

What about those deleted scenes? I don't really care about the deleted scenes after Muncy's departure and Whelan's death, but they deleted the scene with Velasco working with Reyes. Everything I was excited about about this crossover has turned out so badly. Looks like I will keep crying for a while 🤧 Depression mode: on.

I just want to wake up again and see that it was all a nightmare. I’ll never be ready to watch these episodes. Unless Muncy comes back next season saying "hey I'm back", I won't be in a good mood. What will Velasco do without her? She was the only one who really trusted and loved him. As he said, Muncy was his “only real friend”.

I’m also sad about Jet and Jamie… they could make a cute couple 🥺 There might be an open door for Muncy but Whelan is gone forever now. I still don’t want to believe. He was baby Stabler. My tears will become a fountain when I watch the scene he dies (if I can watch it) Svu writers are really good at ruining good things…

I think it’s time for Benson and Stabler to retire.

Do I want to have some words with CBS? Very much so.

But, am I surprised? Absolutely not. I guess we were all expecting to be left on a cliffhanger.

I’m not doing really well bc the new season of one of my favorite shows has been canceled. I think it’s my curse… whenever I obsess about a series, a character or a couple, it's taken away from me 🥲 (like Erin from CPD, Muncy and Veluncy from SVU, Whelan from OC and etc.)

Could you please sign this petition and contribute to save CSI: Vegas ?? I have no clue about why CBS canceled such an amazing series. I feel really disappointed 💔

This petition is shared by some actors from the series, so I think there’s a chance to get it back. OC is coming back on Peacock for season 5, isn’t it? Maybe they can do something like that for CSI: Vegas too.

I’ve become obsessed with CSI: Vegas and Ransom (guess that’s the name for the Allie & Josh ship) lately and I don’t wanna lose them.

Veluncy fan fic: I am new to writing in the fanfic world. I don’t really write stories IRL, but I thought I would try writing fanfic because I love Veluncy so much.

This time last year I was imagining how developed their relationship would be on the next season… Now we don’t even have Muncy 🫠 Thanks to L&O universe for taking every single beautiful thing away from us

A few reasons why I adore VELUNCY (Grace Muncy and Joe Velasco):

Muncy sitting on Velasco’s desk is cute af. This is 24x03-she was still a newbie to SVU squad. Fin and Olivia weren’t too keen on Muncy yet, but Velasco was fond of her.

The lack of personal space between them>>>

They get along really well- Velasco went shopping with Muncy to help her pick a blazer.

The soccer vs futból conversation between them and the fact that he got Muncy a football to kick around is sooo adorable

Velasco calls her brother ‘Terry’ instead of Teddy will always be funny

They always defend each other: Muncy was riding hard for Velasco and beefing with Churlish over the recording/ Velasco jumping on Elias Olsen to stop him from choking Muncy

Velasco telling her that she is his only real friend shows that he knows that Muncy is the only one that genuinely cares about him

The tight hug is EVERYTHING in Muncy’s goodbye scene🥰

Velasco didn’t want to leave Muncy maybe because it was too hard for him💔

My SVU rant

I’ve been watching SVU for about two years now. It’s been like therapy for me❤️‍🩹. I watched the older season as well.

For Season 25 to be so legendary, it’s soooo boring. The only episode I loved was episode 4 with Chief McGrath and his daughter.

The fandom don’t know what they want. They want character development but little to no screen time for said character.

The way they got rid of the female characters was extremely uncalled for.

Bring back GRACE MUNCY

Bring back TONIE CHURLISH

Bring back KAT TAMIN

I didn’t like Rollins until season 21 but I 100% agree with movement, Kelli deserved better. But that is not Molly’s fault. Molly is was not an executive producer of SVU.

I love Grace Muncy and she was written off way too soon. Her outfits and her sneakers are TDF. She is not perfect, but neither was the old squad but they were given time to grow into the great characters they are now. I am glad her and churlish made up at the end of 24x17. I loved the Churlish and Muncy duo investigating in 24x21.

Veluncy could have been the best ship in SVU:

- they are both single

- They don’t have any baggage in their lives (unlike Bensler- being stuck with Kathy and the Stabler kids AND Rollisi (i don’t like this ship) but Rollins dating/hooking up the wrong men, dissing Carisi for years and having 2 baby daddies before giving Carisi a chance

- They spend a lot of off-duty hours together

- get along really well and care for each other

- They have the cutest banter

- They are loyal to each other

- They obviously ride hard for each other

- Velasco telling her she is his only real friend

- THE WAY THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER IS SO BEAUTIFUL🥹🥰

Tonie Churlish irritated me at first, but she had potential. I could have seen her in ADA position ( maybe 2nd chair to ADA carisi) because she was genuinely interested in the law aspect, when talking with benson and carisi, in 24x16. I think the writers should have created a scene as to why she recorded Velasco- she clearly saw corruption while working in Bronx SVU so maybe that is why her guard is up to spotting something shady with cops.

I miss Kat Tamin everyday. I love her husky voice and her personality. I adore the way she stands up for women’s rights and truly strives to seek justice for women.

Another thing- Why is sykes getting more screen time than Detective Velasco, especially when he is in the main cast? Can at least get a scene where Velasco talk about how much he misses his ‘only real friend’ AKA GRACE MUNCY

I did…but to be honest, that didn't even cross my mind. When I saw this I was convinced Muncy wasn't coming back, but until we realize what's going on I'm assuming she's back on the show (cuz I’m delulu)

Looks like Velasco will be getting a love interest this season according to the actor.

It's driving me crazy to hear this when I'm still not over what happened in the last season. Velasco and Muncy were the perfect match, but no one could see it. They were each other's biggest , perhaps only, supporters (despite Benson's efforts to drive a wedge between them) I miss them so terribly 🥺 It’s insane how this time last year I was imagining what would happen between them in the next season, and now she’s not there…

Also why do I feel like Thanos snapped his fingers and erased Muncy from the whole L&O universe? Cuz they’re acting as if she never existed. I was expecting at least a scene where they talk about her and where Velasco struggles with her absence. Those producers and writers know how to ruin an amazing couple. I hope those who immediately started "there is not a single scene of Bensler, when the two of them could have so many scenes" at the slightest Veluncy scene are now happy.

I’m telling you, there was something weird about her exit. Almost everyone joined the 25th year party of SVU but Molly wasn’t there. Isn’t it strange considering she seemed to be close with everyone when she was still in the show?

Let’s go back to our topic. Velasco is still my favorite and I want him to be happy. They were especially hard on him last season. If you ask me, I’d definitely prefer an off-screen romance between Muncy and him (which I don’t think is possible, but still hoping.) Also, according to Octavio, Velasco’s feelings seem to be platonic rather than mutual (they’ll never let my poor Velasco be happy) I've come across some theories that this person could be Parrish, the detective from the first episode. I can't give an opinion on this because the new season hasn't aired here yet and I haven't seen the episode. But we're talking about the L&O universe. We know that we should always be prepared to see characters who appear at the beginning of the season again in the future, so I'm sorry to say that this theory makes sense to me. Muncy also made her first appearance in the second episode last season. When I saw Amber Skye Noyes (actress of det. Parrish) and Audrey Hare (unnamed character) in the behind-the-scenes photos, I thought they might be writing a romance scenario between one of these two and Velasco. We'll see if I'm right (I hope not).

No matter what, I’m always gonna stand for these two… 🤍

I can’t really get people who can’t see how difficult his childhood was and how much he developed himself. Fin and Liv were so unfair and harsh to him which still drives me crazy. Especially Fin… I didn’t expect this from him.

Joe Velasco is my favorite, no matter what 🩵

You know, I've been rewatching s24 of SVU and the really frustrating thing isn't even how they did Joe dirty. Because actually his storyline was very in line with what he told Fin about being the gang's bait, and what he told the whole team when he was trying to track down the trafficked girls from Juarez.

Which honestly just makes the whole thing more frustrating because Fin was giving him just as much of a hard time as Liv, just not quite as directly, and THEY BOTH ALREADY KNEW that he had done shady and criminal shit with the gang in order to survive. They KNEW that was why his mother got their priest to help send him to the U.S. to get him out of it. THEY KNEW what his past was like, and were fine with it.

And now all of a sudden they can't trust him, and he has to "clean up his mess"? Now it's a problem that he understands what that's like and it's what drives him to be a better cop, to make up for what he sees as his wrongs when he was a kid?
