She rubbed her arm nervously for a moment then, fully understanding his words, she looked up at Optimus slowly, "Of course, sir, I would be more than happy to."

"That would cause unnecessary discontent," he replied evenly, expression softening with the femme’s behavior. "I would only ask that you take charge of teaching him how to use it safely and effectively."

"Um, um, right... of course....what was I thinking. Do you...do you want me to take the blaster back? I can... take it back if you want," Suddenly her pedes were looking very interesting, she stared down at them, shuffling nervously under Optimus' gaze.

He set the datapad down and leaned forward in his chair slightly. 

"I appreciate the thought, Moonracer, but he is hardly beyond knowing how to keep balanced while in his vehicle mode. If at all possible, I would like to keep active combat out of Rigel and Bevel’s vocabulary in the future."

"Uhhhh...right, uh, well. I just thought it would be... a cool thing to learn how to use. I mean I started learning how to use a blaster when I was pretty young and...and this isn't even a real blaster and... uhhh... " She twiddled her fingers nervously and couldn't bring herself to make eye contact with the larger.

"Of course," She nodded her helm and swiftly followed after the taller mecha. Given their height differences she had to walk a little faster to keep up with his stride.

"Anything, uh, in particular you would like to know, sir?"

"I have been well, and apparently missed here on campus," he replied, flashing a small smile to her before motioning her to follow him. "Will you walk with me?

"I’m curious to know what your duties include here on base."

Moonracer put her hands behind her back in a 'parade rest' sort of position, "Good to see you again as well, Optimus. Uh, .... How have you been?"

"At ease, Moonracer," he rumbled with a placating gesture to hopefully stifle those jitters. "It is a pleasure to see you again."

Cue a nervous salute. Moonracer hadn't seen the Prime in a while, she'd almost wondered if he'd gone off planet. The Velocitronian was more nervous from excitement than any sort of fear, she greatly admired Optimus.
