summary: a series of stand alone one-shots depicting the angst-filled, romantic encounters between john b’s little sister and jj maybank, all inspired by the songs of several “indie” bands.

↠ crying lightning: after being caught stealing from the local liquor store, things get heated between indie routledge and her at-a-loss, older brother, forcing her to seek refuge in her brother’s best friend. 

↠ you give me problems: during one of the hottest days of the summer, indie decides to taunt her brother’s best friend with a provocative performance involving an orange popsicle. 

↠ pink lemonade: finding herself frustrated under his teasing touch, indie decides to explore her own body. however, jj maybank can’t help but step in and lend a pleasuring hand. 

↠ a bad habit for it: touch-starved and unable to bring herself the release she’s desperately craving, indie pays jj a visit at work. whilst he plays hard to get, she knows exactly what buttons to press. 

↠ because she’s casual: armed with a bottle of jack daniels, indie and jj embark on a drunken midnight adventure. after settling in the local park, they can’t resist each other’s allure any longer. 

↠ sex and question marks: agitated and highly-strung after a stressful day at work, jj finds himself tempted into taking his frustrations out on indie. however, only one of them is left feeling satisfied after. 

↠ fluorescent adolescent: angry and upset at the way she was treated, indie gets her revenge on an oblivious jj. however, not before she gets the release her touch-starved body has been craving in his absence. 

↠ a slice of lime: with the help of a little alcohol, things come to a fiery head between indie and jj at a boneyard kegger. as drinks are spilled, emotions run high and weighted words are uttered, the pair find themselves making amends the only way they know how. 

↠ morning glory: as the morning after the explosive boneyard kegger rolls around, the realisation that their secret trysts are now public knowledge sets in. john b knows, and it’s time for indie and jj to face the music. 

↠ sweater weather: a camp-out in the north carolina mountains unexpectedly shows cracks within a relationship, planting seeds of doubt for everybody, whilst another finds themselves in a predicament during a drunken fumble. 

↠ she’s a riot: back on her bratty behaviour, indie goes full throttle in an attempt to get her way with jj. however, it’s proven that jj knows best when the pair find themselves in a sticky situation. 

↠ that little lady: it’s a night of revelations as a close call prompts indie to spill the beans on a rapidly escalating situation. however, she’s not the only one with something she’d rather stay hidden coming to light. 

↠ greek tragedy: indie and jj must face the consequences of their actions as, in a cruel twist of fate, things don’t go quite as they had planned. it’s the beginning of the end for the naive lovebirds. 

↠ hypersonic missiles: miserable and consumed by guilt, indie faces a birthday full of torment and heartache as she reminisces over the events of the summer; she knows that the one thing she wants the most in the world, she can’t have.
