The Xycan were our allies before, in the old Chimera Initiative. We are saddened that this event has caused distress to you, but the Tribune themselves require care as well. Their intentions for the Aradak were noble, and in no way tied to the Xycan. The Swarm can ensure the validity of their words.
We have some interesting news, everydrone... but this one feels conflicted. After the crises that caused the Brood unification, the former Tribune was forced to step down after allegations of falsehood.
It was a decision that caused much disagreement, many believed the former Tribune was being mistreated, or prophecy tarnished, while others saw the former Tribune as a false chosen one.
Either way, the former Tribune has been with us for centuries, helping the diplomatic unity of Aradas against a common foe. But with that foe gone, the violence on Aradas is over, and they believe the time has come for them to leave Aradas behind.
They called upon the @najklax hives to retrieve them, the only alien hives who understand Xycan technology and biology well enough to tend to the broken form of the former Tribune.
We welcomed one of their Broodmothers, Zalla, to Mount Exile, where the former Tribune and the remnants of their ship are kept and preserved... We exchanged much knowledge with Zalla, but this one felt an abysmal sadness... Whatever they may have done... We put them aside after everything they did for us. And now we may never see them again.
Broodmother forgive us, and bless the former Tribune and the Najklaxians with many eggs.

The chorus signs a long, haunting melody before it is interrupted.
Screams. Violent screams of suffering echo within the Najklaxian frequency. Tens and hundreds perish and by that amount the chorus is quieter and lonelier.
An enraged clicking and roaring then emanates. The Broodqueens are furious.
We are sensing the death of our progeny somewhere in our sector of the galaxy. Our observer organisms determine it to be the heart of the Bavian space, the ones who had declared us their enemy. They are destroying our settlement hives!
Fire burns the flesh from the bones of our children and their voices no longer resonate within our chorus. We cannot allow this transgression!
We address the @gbavian state: cease your aggression at once and allow our hives to relocate on Voidfarers immediately, or regret to have floated upon our burrows! Should you refuse, the Avenging Swarm will tear your fortifications apart and grind them to dust!

After a long, long chorus, the song was interrupted by a mocking laugh and a scornful click.
An incident occurred at the system neighbouring Kyphuun Defence Organism. A @dharan-league ship approached the border, requesting an audience for a "truce", as they called it. By our drones, this was obviously seen as nothing but a diversion. The Dharans haven't attacked us for months, and that could as well be part of their plot.
We apprehended the vessel and allowed the delegates aboard to speak. The foolish Dharan—Kyrran was his name—proposed a freeze in the conflict, as we assumed so. It is all the Dharans want: time to rebuild their forces and terrorise our hives again. This man talked about "restoring the rift between our people" and "reparations for damages they caused".
A scoffing hiss resounded in the absence of the chorus.
We refused, giving this Dharan a proper farewell. Unlike them, we do not have feathers for neural tissue to fall for such obvious deception.
You Dharans dare insult us with propositions for "peace and coexistence"? There will be anything but! Stay within your borders, and never approach ours or any of our organisms, for their mission will always be destroying you at every opportunity.
This is all. Let the chorus commence!
The song resumes with a renewed vigor.

A perturbing song resonates. A concerned clicking noise follows.
This news disturbs us greatly. If that person is who she claims to be, then that raises hive-shattering implications. Some of your people do blame our inability to help as reason for her death. But if she somehow avoided it, then the future is indeed uncertain.
This is a transmission from Novozi Independent News.
"Good evening, Bavia, and the rest of the galaxy! This is NIN, the most reliable news from Bavia for the entire galaxy; covering stories from odd patterns to Bavian Celebrity Lookalikes.
We start off tonights show with yet another suprising revolation on the Bavian political stage. The Federal Minister of New Sonlloch has stepped down following yet another leak from local media.
This leak shows the New Sonllochian Minister taking bribes from an Evroncian manufacturing company in order to doge environmental regulations set in place by the local Parliament. NIN contacted the Minister however has received no response at time of this broadcast.
NIN also reached out to the Federal Agency of the Environment which said 'the situation on New Sonlloch is being closely monitored, Federal surveyors are already on route.'
This is the second resignation to strike the Bavian political system in recent days and many wonder what the future might hold. NIN contacted the remaining parts of the Federal Council, noone has replied.
In other news, a Kuzi lookalike had appeared outside the city of Lôvono on Bavia. While there are many look alike around here, there have been few who have been able to claim she was Kuzi herself. We of course doubt this claim but many have started to follow this Kuzi and ger messages.
We have contacted the Ministry of Justice which said that while not a crime, the use of fake identities to take advantage of people would still be fraud. That is all from NIN for now but join us after the break to discuss what secret benefits there are from joining the Orassian Church.
END OF TRANSMISSION.

The High Queen agrees for such a proposal, gladly! You may send LSV Citadel on one of our fronts: our escort flotillas shall escort you with an accompanying chorus.
We found the old network severely restricting in our ability to convey ourselves as of late. Here, there are no hurdles, no constrictions. Our chorus flows in a rhythm we could not express before.
The song resumes to accentuate the words spoken before.

*Screeching noise*
Our Broods have hearkened to the stars, noticing a shift in communication channels. We follow the galaxy's lead.
We slept for long, and our time to engage with the galaxy's nations has come. The hives begin their work, fortifying the border of the Swarm against any previously hostile entity who dares to cross it.
To those who we have not encountered yet, our voices sing to you a melody of peace. The Queen of Najklax sends you her most sincere greetings. May we meet you in the great void and may we learn from each other as was willed by the departed Overmind.
*A grandeur song emanates, one of serenity*

The song continues... up to a hopeful chorus.
Greetings, Argent Pact.
Your words touch the hearts of every drone in the Swarm. We are indeed thriving amidst the current stalemate against the Dharans. They have not engaged with our Swarm Fleets recently, which puzzles us and unnerves us. What could they be plotting?
In all, we haven't had problems converting to the new communications network.

We would not oppose such. The Broods are glad that our song has reached your minds and soothed them. We will dispatch our diplomatic drones of the Xsi Brood towards your homeworld, that is if you would accept them.

The song continues, until a point of sombre crescendo.
Greetings, Aradak hive.
We are aware of the merciless dark that permeates this galaxy. Our history is a testament to such. We were born at times of great division and bloodshed when the broods and packs of all kinds fought over our homeworld, the primordial name of which drowned in swamps of history.
The consciousness talking through the comms transmits a psychic throwback image: the state of Najklax before it got its name.

Then, we were united. Broodmother Najklax, who achieved sentience never before seen on the planet, unified all packs and broods into a single planetary empire, before giving up her life's essence to give birth to the Overmind, after which our homeworld was called in her honour. Thus, the great era of peace began.
In our quest of space exploration, we encountered aliens far fearful, hateful, and baleful than we ever could dream of: the Dharan Dominion. Their senseless provocation in destroying our outer hive clusters prompted the First Nest War where we defended ourselves, and where we lost. Our Overmind was killed by the Dharans' past leader and we were exterminated to the point of near extinction.
We reemerged again, under the guidance of Her Majesty Kara na-Filvan, a direct heir to the genome of the Overmind. Her rule brought unity and purpose to all our Broods. We reclaimed our former territory system by system, planet by planet, inch by inch, inexorably moving towards the Dharan homeworld to avenge our fallen and bring an end to this war. We succeeded.
The galaxy is violent no doubt. But in this great void there are lights, with whom one may find alliances and friendship. We had to fight for our right to exist, for the peace of our hives. We hope, in the name of all of our broods, that you would never endure the same suffering.

*Screeching noise*
