2016 Goal Review
2016 Goals:
✅ Read more books (>1/month) - Read 21 total
Run/bike more miles (>1500 each) - I did run and bike (and swim) more miles, but I didn’t hit 1500 miles in either. Cycling was way short, and I was on-track with running until I had to take time off after fall marathons. No big; I’d rather not injure myself for a mileage goal.
PR Goals:
Sub-6 mile - Just barely missed my mile PR goal (6:00.2)
Sub-20 5K - came within 10 seconds of a 5K PR (20:19)
✅ Sub-43 10K - Ran a 10K PR during the Little Miami 10-Miler
✅ Sub-1:35 HM - PR’d twice in the HM
BQ - Marathon PR, but still a long way to go
Strength training, cross training, yoga, climbing, pull-ups
✅ Eat better: less red meat, less sugar, more tea, more veggies, less beer
Watch more films - I watched more Netflix series, but that’s not really what I was going for here
Listen to more records - Eh, some, but not really
✅ Cook more
Pay off cards - Nope
Keep up with calendar pictures - Nope, did it all the night before
Clean out basement, organize everything - Someday
✅ Build chicken coop, ❎ maybe a fence
✅ Get married
Learn a new programming language and build automation - I did some stuff with Angular, but nothing major yet
✅ Go to more cultural events (gallery hop, plays, museum exhibits) - Not as much as I’d like, but more than last year
Deploy something to my Apple Watch - Why did I put this on here?
Hardware hacking (3d printing, arduino) - No, but I did get a kit for this for Christmas, so here’s to 2017
Take DSLR with me - Lillian did this more than I did
✅ Take more walks
Races:
✅ Broke Man’s Winter Warmup 1/17
Cedars Frostbite 2/6 (maybe)
Seamus O'Possum 3/19 (maybe)
✅ Flying Pig 4/29-5/1
✅ Cleveland Marathon 5/14-5/15
✅ MingoMan 7/10
✅ IRONMAN 70.3 Ohio 8/21
✅ Steamtown Marathon 10/9
✅ Columbus Marathon 10/16 (maybe)
Marine Corps Marathon 10/30 (possibly)
NYC Marathon 11/6 (probably not)
✅ Columbus 10K (probably)
Coughlin 5K Series (if happening agian)
✅ HFP Tri(s) (probably, at least 1 or 2)
✅ Otterbein XC Series (if happening again)

"That’s the Grandmaster in the back. He doesn’t speak much English. He was number one in China back in 1980, so I knew of his name long before I met him. He’s very humble. A true gentleman fighter. He’s 68, but I’ve seen him put a spear against his neck, and use it to push a car." "So at what point can you call yourself a Grandmaster?" "A Grandmaster doesn’t say he’s a Grandmaster. Other people say it for him."

Listasaurus
Stressed. Things on my mind:
Teeth tomorrow
Setting up new page at work
Not knowing what we're supposed to build at work and being way behind
Gotta fix metrics shit
Paying for eye exam and stupid insurance
My fucking leg has hurt since Saturday and doesn't feel like it's getting any better
Money
Food
I've been super fucking lazy so far this year, which is fine because I'm trying to let my leg heal before I start training, but it leaves me feeling like crap
Fuck this cold.

Year in Review & Future Goals
2014 Goals Eat out once per check per person - failed badly Run 1200 miles - 200 miles short, but I'm happy with that considering I was injured for 2 months Pay off credit card - not there yet. I'll hit it with my tax refund Bike 1200 miles - Did 261 miles. Not even close, but better than last year, and now I have a trainer so I can bike in the winter Read 1 fiction book per month - I didn't read one per month, but I am on my 12th book of the year, so I got really close to this one Ultramarathon - Nope Finish recoding website - Technically done, but I have a couple things that I need to add to it Finish recoding EB site - No longer applicable Make art - Sadly, no Learn Ruby - Nope Re-learn Maya and make a 30 second animation - Ha, no. I'll probably need a new computer to make this happen, but I'll keep it in mind for next year Volunteer at a race - I was at the CRC aid station for like 30 minutes at the Columbus Marathon, so I will say I get half-credit for this Find a better house - Done and done! Our house is absolutely fantastic and I love it Learn a Javascript framework (Angular?) - I did a few Angular tutorials, but then I started at VS and leared Underwire, which definitely counts 2015 Goals Read 12 books Watch 1 film per week Critically listen to 1 record per week Take 1 calendar picture per month Do more pull-ups and strength training Do PT exercises and stretches consistantly Pay off cards (for real) Get rest of artwork on site Learn Ruby Do a triathlon
Running goals (time):
6:00 mile
20:00 5K
45:00 10K
1:35 HM
3:45 M
