Here's the Galvanizing Criminal Defense Attorney Jacqui Tonnerre Vertueux!!!
Tumblr media
Jacqui was born and raised in Narcene City Unova and is currently a practicing criminal defense lawyer in Orre. She has a pacemaker in her chest from Cardiac Arrythmia. She has a taste for the finer things in life, she's super shy around women as she is a proud lesbian. She's 27 years old and the second protagonist alongside Vivian Nirvana and she is Vivian's ex girlfriend.
She is very fascinated in the law but her heart condition prevented her from chasing her dreams of becoming a police officer, she competed in the Unova League challenge and only got 7 badges before dropping very soon after the Team Plasma Opelucid City Terrorist Attack. She would switch careers to being a lawyer and depart to Orre.
Her personality is that she is confident, observant, cunning and diligent and inquisitive, smart, defeatist, self loathing, sassy and sharp tongued, charismatic and caring to her Pokémon, she believes that the law is how true change is accomplished and that the rights and privileges of people are both decided and safe-guarded in the courtrooms. Jacqui is hedonistic in a fatalistic way and she often doesn't care about the long term or sometimes short term effects of her actions because what does it matter she's gonna die young anyway, unless the situation is seriously FUBAR.
Jacqui often gets incredibly tongue tied, nervous and shy yet incredibly submissive when she is the presence of a beautiful women whose smiles can leave her blushy, sweaty and gripping the hem of her skirt in a vice grip or fanning her hand frantically, she averts her eyes and smiles nervously, Vivian finds this behavior of hers to be adorable.
Here she is I hope you all like her.

How to Write Vivid Descriptions WITHOUT Overloading
Are you the type of person who describes a setting by using an intimidatingly huge paragraph that just rambles on and on and on because you're told to be specific but don't quite know how to do it correctly? If you've been struggling to detail settings, you've come to the right place! I'll reveal how to effectively describe a setting without having to use one big chunk of text and shoving it at your reader!
~ LINK IDEAS TOGETHER
As writers, we hear "show, don't tell" quite often, and the same applies when writing settings. But for some people this tip does little to help because, well, it's a bit of a vague concept.
With that being said, "linking ideas together" is a great way to describe the setting without having to explain the location! What do I mean?
Let's say there's a green field and I'm trying to depict it. This method is to find another subject that could connect with the setting to further describe it. What else is green? What reminds the character of the field? What's something similar?
Ex: The field in front of him reminded him of a photo he once saw long ago as a boy. His parents were standing in a lush, grassy area void of people, hugging each other tightly and smiling brightly at the camera under the bright blue sky.
In that example, I linked the field to a picture the character found, and by using his memories, I was able to paint a rough image of the location while setting the tone!
Ex: She'd been there before. She was there when the building still stood tall. When the streets were filled with people bustling about and the air smelled like cigarettes. Now, there is no tall building, but instead a pile of debris. She hasn't seen anyone in thirty minutes, and any smell of cigarettes would've surely been washed away by the rain.
This time, I connected the present location with the past one. But instead of showing the similarities, I contrasted them to emphasize the changes and abandoned state of the area!
~ LITERARY DEVICES
The most common literary devices I see regarding setting are similes, metaphors, and personifications!
It's similar my previous tip, where you connect two ideas together, but more general. The similes and metaphors don't have to be based on a specific experience of the character, but instead something more universal so everyone can connect with it!
Personification, on the other hand, can be used to substitute verbs.
Examples:
The stars shone like glittering jewels.
The road carved into the mountain.
The flowers waltzed along the music of the wind.
These devices allow you to describe something quickly and elegantly!
~ USE ACTIONS
Arguably, the most common tip provided when describing a setting is to use the five senses: sight, smell, touch, hearing, and taste. If you're like me, though, and have NO clue on how that's supposed to help, let me break it down!
Instead of thinking about the senses directly, use ACTIONS that correlate with the senses.
Instead of saying "the wood felt tough", say "he touched the wood, marveling at the toughness of the material".
Instead of saying "the air smelled like candies", say "she sniffed the air, inhaling the aroma of candies".
Instead of saying "the city was bright", say "they stare at the city, admiring how the lights illuminate the buildings and roads.
Do you see how your description suddenly blends in with the text now that there's an action and separate subject involved? You're still effectively describing the scene, but you're not pushing it at your reader. This also makes it far easier to build onto the depiction of the moment because you're not limited to adjectives!
By utilizing these three concepts, you can build an evocative description of the setting that won't overwhelm nor bore the readers!
Happy writing~
3hks :D

Update
Hi everyone sorry for the months of silence but I have busy with IRL stuff, plus I have also been brainstorming some brand new PokeOCs lately.
Hopefully I can deliver later this year or in the new year.

Now I'm imaging a reality tv series about trainers and Pokémon battles. XD
An interesting idea I'd had regarding the gym challenge is that, while a lot of the challengers are rookies, a lot are also pros or past years competitiors who come back to try it out again. And while the new and shiny rookies get a lot of media attention, the old returners also get some focus if they placed high enough.
Hey there @l-egionaire! I 100% agree that there are a lot of returners and seasoned trainers. In fact that I think that rookies are the ones in the minority of challenger most seasons. I also think they tend to get the most attention unless the rookies happen to be superstars like Leon and the SwSh protagonist.
The Galar region is very much implied to be one of if not the hardest circuit in the world and it would make sense that the trainers competing in such a circuit would have more experience than being just freshly out the professor's lab with their starter. Also the ones that are returning are already established so they bring in ratings from the people who watched them from previous seasons. I can imagine in the pre-season they're the ones that get more airtime on like a "Trainers to Watch" pre-season show since they can play clips of their previous attempts plus interviews on how they may have changed their approach.

Considering their rarity and the difficulty in creating Mega Stones contributing to their ludicrous prices. Do you think there would be a black market for Mega Stones and Key Stones and their subsequent Pokemon who can Mega Evolve? I'm curious about your thoughts on this. Also I hope you're having a good day today. =)
Hi there @namelessbaron! Great question! I think there probably is a black market for Mega Stones and Key Stones as well as the other gimmicks (Z-rings, Dynamax Bands, Tera Orbs) We as the player have the benefit of "Protagonist Special Treatment" so we never have to pay for any of these items. But for the everyday trainer, I can imagine it's just a lot harder to get your hands on these items. Not impossible, but a lot harder than the protagonist that has so much handed to them in their journeys. And given the very real benefit they have in battle I'm sure there are plenty of trainers, desperate for a leg up, who may turn to the black market to get these items. Going a bit off topic, I think about the potential black market for Z-rings and I wonder if this would anger the Tapu. The answer is probablu

How would Vivian handle a buneary of sorts?
Vivian would absolutely shower it with affection because all Pokemon deserve that but she will tolerate no bullshit and will respond back with Aggression and attempts to intimidate before potentially ending it in a brawl.
