You had been pretty lonely recently

All of your friends were busy and you had nothing else better to do than watch reruns of your favourite shows

But that of course got old pretty fast

So, you went online to see what was going on in the world

When you got on twitter you noticed that you got a new follower

Looking at their page you noticed that they were a new fan of skz and decided to befriend them

After following them back you sent them a message

“Hello! Welcome to the stay twitter fam. I hope you’ll have fun here ♡”

About 20 minutes later you got a reply

“Hey there! Thanks for the warm welcome. I hope I’ll have fun here too.”

“If you need help with anything then I’d be happy to help :)”

“Actually it would be nice to have someone to talk to 😅”

“I got you covered bub”

You two ended up talking for hours and it continued the next day and the day after that and pretty soon you were calling each other best friends

You had talked about a lot of private subjects but one thing that you didn’t know was what he looked like

When ssd came around you tried to convince him to take part but he never budged

When he sent the picture you were confused for a second

A part of you wanted to tell everyone about what you had just found out about but you knew you couldn’t do that

And the friendship continued as normal

Well, as normally as it could

It was just like any other friendship, minus the fact that it was with a kpop idol

But besides that it was like any other friendship

You constantly asked Chan about the behind the scenes of the idol life

And of course the boy delivered

You also made sure that his health was a-okay

Asking if he had ate, having arguments over if he had slept enough

“y/n I sleep fine!”

HHH YOU SLEPT 4 HOURS!”

There were days though where you wished you knew Chan irl

It was lonely where you were, and even if you liked it/were used to it, you needed human interaction like any other person

“Ugh why do I have to live here and you there? :(“

“Cause it makes you appreciate our friendship more ❤”

“DJGLNAR STOP IT!”

But at other times you were fine with it cause the guy’s a sappy mess

And you did not want to risk death of an enlarged heart

But you really wanted to see him!

And you knew it was impossible considering where you lived

None of the artists you liked came to your area

But that changed one day

“Hey we’re gonna have a show in a town near you!”

“HHH I’M GONNA COME AND SEE YOU!!!”

And you meant literally see him

You & Chan devised a plan on how to meet each other face to face

It was a bit difficult considering they didn’t have a lot of free time and they were gonna be filming constantly

But you really wanted to see each other

So you two did everything in order to make it work

And made it work you did

You planned on meeting at a little coffee shop not too far from their hotel

So Chan could potentially come without needing any staff along

But he might have to bring a member along, just in case

That’s where Felix comes in

“Lix could you help me out?”

At first the boy was unsure

But seeing how happy Chan got when he talked about you

He just wanted his hyung to be happy

When the day came you felt like your heart was gonna beat out of your chest

You’re actually going to meet him… what kind of fairytale is this?

You got to the shop half an hour early cause you knew you needed time to calm down

“He’s like any other person y/n… a person who made you feel whole again… just a regular guy”

You kept looking out the window and your leg was bouncing up and down

And eventually you saw two guys come into the shop

They were wearing masks and caps

One of them was wearing all black and you knew it was a dead giveaway

You kept looking at them as he scanned the store

And when he found you his eyes went big and you could tell that he had a smile under that mask

You stood up from your seat and he practically ran to you and took you in for a hug

“Hey bub”

“Hey you emo weeb”

He pouted but quickly laughed it off

Felix came over and introduced himself and you were blown away how cute (his freckles) looked in person

After you all ordered your drinks you sat & laughed about nearly an hour

But eventually they had to go back

You latched onto Chan’s hand and kept whining “nooo!”

And it broke him, but rules are rules and he had to follow them

“Let’s try to meet after the concert, okay?”

“Alright deal”

The show was breathtaking to say the least

You caught yourself tearing up many many times

Those guys just mean so much to you (especially Chan)

After it ended you waited outside the venue for a bit

You didn’t know how or if you were gonna see Chan again and you didn’t have a clue what to do

You felt your phone buzz and saw that Chan had DM’d you

“Hey where are you?”

“I’m outside the venue”

“Crap we’re already heading back to the hotel. Could we meet up somewhere near it?”

“Okay I’m on my way!”

About 20 minutes later you arrived at the hotel

You texted him and let him know you were waiting by a tree that’s next to a shop across the hotel

A few minutes he appeared and jogged over to you

“I don’t have a lot of time. I said I dropped my keys and went to look for them.”

“Okay… It was great while it lasted.”

He smiled and brought you in for a hug

“I’ll miss you.”

“I’ll miss you too, so much.”

As you let go of each other you had a hard time looking at him

As fun as today was it’s also painful because you didn’t know if you were ever going to see him again

“Why are you so sad?”

“Like you don’t know.”

“I know…”

“It just hurts cause I don’t know if I’ll ever see you again.”

“y/n… we will, okay? I promise we will.”

You pouted and Chan laughed & took your face in his hands

“We will see each other, okay princess?”

“O-Okay.”

He kissed your forehead and held your hands for one last time before you said your goodbyes

He kept messaging you when you walked home to make sure you’re safe

“I’m home dw!”

“Finally”

“Why are you so worried about me 😂?”

“Jdfklen really? You’re my friend and I care about you.”

“HHH more like boyfriend at this point.”

“I mean… I can be if you want.”

You read what he wrote over and over again

“Would you want that?”

“I mean… only if you want that…”

“I’d love that :3”

what hurts more i think is the fact that i watched them suffer to be 9, and be their happiest when they were finally 9. i thought they would be 9 forever... our fandom name is so emblematic to that, we make stray kids stay. but there are things that happen that we can't control and i seriously hope woojin is okay. he's such a good, gentle and talented person he deserves to be well and happy. and if this decision was to do that, then i'll be glad to be a stay that let's go sometimes, for the sake of the ones i adore so much... stray kids take care, woojin take care.

You're okay, Woojin is okay, Skz are okay.

There have obviously been some problems we didn't know about, whether it's a physical problem, mental problem, or whatever, something was going on and now we have our beautiful eldest member Woojin leave the group. This doesn't mean we have to pretend he was never there, this doesn't mean we can't be upset about it, but it'll be okay. He above anyone knows what's best for himself and whatever made him make this decision had to be important enough to leave something he's worked very hard for. It's okay to be sad, it's okay to cry. Take time away and just get yourself together. I know a group can come back and even bounce back stronger than ever before when this happens. Stray Kids are still nine or none, but this time Stay will just have to be that 9th member. Work hard for skz, keep supporting them, but above all take care of yourself. The important thing is everyone is okay. We will be okay. Stay strong Stays ❤️
