What new dragons are you most excited to see in both House of the Dragon and Rise of the Dragon?
I'm can't say I'm particularly eager for any one dragon, although I do describe Sunfyre as the most beautiful dragon that anyone has ever seen. He looks like he's not a real dragon, but a dragon made of gold. His scales and armor are bright gold, like a flash in the sun. So let's try to capture that when we see him on-screen.

Mae/Eol au??? Please
Okay! This one spawned on a discord server, actually. Basic premise is that while coming home from the iconic hunting trip where Finrod finds the Bëorians, Maedhros takes shelter from the weather in Nan Elmoth on his way to Himlad, and Eöl decides to enchant him for a spouse instead of Aredhel.
It's turning out so funny. Maedhros sees the red flags, he just goes 'oh wow, these look just like the ones back home!' at them.
Pls picture, if you will, the acute distress Fingolfin feels meeting the new co-Lord of Himring; a dramatic, broody, vengeful, possibly murderous smith who is visibly wishing Fingolfin go fuck himself.
Fingolfin: Nephew, pls, did you have to inherit your mother's taste in men

Varda hallowed the Silmarils so that no mortal or evil hands were allowed to touch them without being burned and withered.
Well, I'm just curious now, what was Varda's definition of 'Evil'? What was her criteria and requirements of being Evil thing? Being a Kinslayer or...
merely being a rebel against she and her husband?

Rebirthed!Maedhros AU post 3
You know what time it is, folks, capping the last post again at 7 parts.
Part 15!
“What do you mean they’re blaming Uncle Arafinwë?” Russandol demands
Eyeing him tiredly, Findekáno notes the faint dark circles under his eyes, the delicate tremor in his hands, the way he flinched when he tried to hug his cousin
“They’re inconsolable, and seeking to rationalize a cause and effect,” he repeats, verbatim, what Nienna had solemnly explained to them. “The fire started on his and Aunt Eärwen’s ship. They’d never believe their own princess foolish enough to set a ship on fire, even by accident, and her children were raised as Teleri as they were Noldo. So,” Findekáno shrugs angrily
“So it must be the outsider husband’s fault,” Russandol finishes bitterly. “How do they figure that?”
Findekáno shrugs again, clenching his hands together. “The only area of the ship where fire is allowed is the kitchen.” Because Fëanárian Lamps handily replaced every candle, torch, and lantern they’d used on ships before, but Fëanáro hasn’t yet invented a fireless source of heat. “And since we Ñoldor hold that the men are the cooks…”
“I see.”
“Mind you, Olwë doesn’t believe this,” Findekáno says, dragging the conversation along in the hopes he won’t be subjected to yet another round of grieving, outraged tirade against the Teleri
He’s already sat through Aikanáro, Eldalótë, and Artanis’ reactions. Plus his parents’ reaction, Turukáno’s, his grandparents, and Fëanáro. He loves Russandol, but he’s not sitting through Fëanáro But Worse. He’s tired
“But he’s also having difficulty believing it’s Melkor’s work. Not that we know it’s Melkor’s work, we only suspect. The Teleri are really used to being largely ignored by greater Valinor.”
“Who does believe it then?” Russandol says, evidently willing to set aside any outbursts in favor of focusing on the situation at hand, for which Findekáno loves him even more
“When I left Tirion, we still hadn’t heard back from Olwë on who started the rumors, just that his people were starting to mutter about it.”
Grandfather had been terrifying to behold, in his anger at the news. Even Fëanáro had been taken aback by the sight of his rock steady, indulgent parent so wrathful
Grandmother went silent. She wanted no one to disturb her while she embroidered the funeral shrouds for her youngest child and his two eldest sons
Findekáno isn’t foolish enough to think she isn’t just as angry

For @feanorianweek Day 1: Maedhros
Even in his youth, maedhros didn’t have enough hands to handle his brothers, especially Celegorm.
I guess now in his adulthood Maedhros misses the problems of those old days.

@feanorianweek Dia 1: Maedhros
Incluso en su juventud, Maedhros no tenia suficientes manos para controlar a sus hermanos, en especial a Celegorm.
supongo que ahora en la adultez Maedhros extraña los problemas de esos días.

I love the whole concept that all the mortals by the late third age have this idea of elves as these serene, calm, wise and peaceful beings. Like at the council of Elrond and the like they all see the elves as inherently great givers of advice with the bigger picture at heart. Imagine if someone from then read a book on the first age. Like Faramir being exposed to Elrond’s records after he leaves for Valinor and thinking are these really the same species? Why are they setting everything on fire? Was the founder of Numenor really raised by these people? Did the calm lord Elrond really hold a knife to that guys throat? They are all completely feral and bloodthirsty and possess no basic judgement skills. Frodo getting to Valinor and being invited to a party at Finrod’s house. Expecting a deep cryptic discussion on lore and feeling out of place among all these dignified ethereal legends. And like ten minutes in people are playing drinking games with knives and fire. Frodo expects Lord Elrond to be shocked at his relatives behaviour but finds him in a knife throwing competition with the former high king. He seems to be winning. He also sees what seems to be two high kings making out in the stairwell. His last hope is Galadriel whose now in an intense bar fight with three of her cousins. Her husband is cheering her on from the corner.
The elves are not actually inherently wise. They just made all the mistakes and learnt from them after about the fifth attempt.
